Great trick 🎉 I was thinking out a crimp card followed by 8 cards at the bottom so you can quickly cut those and control spectators card. Less suspicious counting cards.
Deal slow most will say stop within that range. Audience management is key. Otherwise maybe count how many cards are in the target zone and give them that number to choose from. I hope this helps.
