What’s so fabulous about Kim is she says I got a clothing line and she means a clothes line not a brand of clothing- though I think Target x Kim would be my boho dream! ♥️
My mom dried everything outside and she had these tall sticks with a V shape at top that she would wedge under the clothesline in the middle to keep it from sagging. Ask Alex to find some skinny trees and cut them down, or a downed branch to make one or two for your clothes line.
I have 2 lazy Susan’s in my kitchen. I use one for spices, oil, etc. and the other one for all my Tupperware. It helps keep all of the contents tidy because you can turn it to see everything. No more messy Tupperware or spice cabinets where you have to dig for the contents in the back. Hope you find your best use of your lazy Susan! Love your videos!
Hanging shirts by the bottom reduces wrinkles. You need some line drying poles. I wonder where you can get them these days. That way you dont double hang the towels and they completely dry.
OH!! THE CLOTHES BLOWING ON THE LINE...I LOVE THAT. BRINGS BACK MEMORIES❤JUST SOMETHING ABOUT HANGING CLOTHES & WATCHING SEEING THEM HANGING IN THE BREEZE SO PEACEFUL RELAXING COMFORTING.
Your front stoop is gorgeous! I love the way it all came together. Your new rug is perfect for the space thank God for good friends! And your recipes give me so much inspiration! Thank you... For the little bit of happy in my day
The rug does go with your bedroom wall:) 🤗 You’re very fortunate to have a friend who will let you purchase them carpets for her or give! I grew up in San Francisco and a family of 11 with my parents 13 people and one of our chores was to hang the laundry out on the clothes line!! The clothes were SUCH a Great Smell!! 🤗💝😺🏡☀️👚👕👗👖🥼🧦💕
Kim - That rug is the perfect size and color for your room. I can't wait to try those yummy recipes. You're right, there is nothing like fresh smelling, line - dried laundry. Thank you for sharing your day, my friend. I hope you are feeling well. Don't overdo. (I'm such a mom) LOL. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
Maybe it would help to get an inexpensive night light for Meredith. They make all kinds of cute designs for kids. Bet they even have "Frozen" ones! The carpet your friend gave you is perfect for your bedroom and I like the brown wicker baskets you picked out for your closet. Perfect size and the color won't show dirt.
Yes! to all the recipes! I tuck them away in my brain for gatherings or just when I am tired of the same ol' same ol' around the house. Thank you for sharing!
I'm from SA and we only dry on a line, we occasionally use a dryer in the winter. Little tip turn jeans and other clothing inside out, for seams to dry properly.
I’m a grandma if littles and always enjoy your videos and get a laugh. My girls have a 2 year old girl and one has a 6 year old boy. The little girl Kenzie is 2 and going to be a big sister soon to her brother arriving April 💙. Understand night waking all too well. It ends and other things pop up as you know. The childhood stages are so varied. Rest and take care of yourself Kim. Love u and your humor!!
The rug looks great in your bedroom! I always put lined dried laundry in the dryer for a few minutes just in case bugs come in with the clothes. Before watching this video I watched Frugal Fit Mom's video from yesterday and she included 2 clips of you mentioning cake and donuts, lol.
Kimberly, I was drinking my coffee when you made the "I hate my washer angry face" and I almost spit my coffee out I was laughing so hard. You know how they do it in the movies and the coffee goes out your nose!! You are so funny sweetie, I wish you had your own tv show.
Seeing you line dry your clothes brought me back to the happiest of times in my childhood. There’s nothing like clothes drying on a warm day and the soft scent of honeysuckle wafting through a gentle breeze. 🥰
It’s the best, Kim! I even buy the Mrs. Meyer’s stuff scented with it because I love it so much and it takes me back to my childhood every time I smell it. Maybe they make a honeysuckle DW candle? 🤷♀️😂
I just wanna say your videos are literally one of the only things that make me smile these days. They also motivate me. Thank you so much for being there and working through your pregnancy symptoms to make not just me smile but the rest who watch you.
Mama! Don’t over strain yourself! I’m here “scolding” through the tv when I’m watching you lifting that heavy bed! I’m no melodramatic when I was preggers, but I allowed hubby to do the heavy lifting. Absolutely love your energy and enjoy watching you! I folded almost my laundry just hanging out with you. ❤️❤️❤️

The drying line is perfect! And what amazes me is that it feels uncommon in the USA but I can say that 70% of people in Greece don’t even own a dryer! So usual for us to line dry our clothes in the sun and I am really happy that you enjoy it!
Many parts of the US (where I live included) it’s waaaay too cold to line dry year round. We get a good 2-3 months (may, part of June, and September honestly) where it’s not too cold OR too humid to line dry in Wisconsin
@@courtneyb6189 I totally understand! But it’s perfect to have this option in mind and line dry when the sun is bright! Whatever works in the place we live!🧺😊
Love hanging clothes out! When we lived in Greece it was great until someone above us would flick their cigarette onto our sheets and burn a hole! We don’t smoke.
Hi Kim, The rug in the bedroom looks good. Both the 🍓 and pasta dish look's super scrumptious and a quick meal with easy clean up. Back yard is a beautiful and relaxing oasis's! Take Care rest when needed. Thanks for posting and happy in my day🎍
When I was a kid we line dried everything. We had a 2x4 piece of wood with a notch on one end that we could hook on the clothesline to lift the line higher. When I got married I had to stop line drying as my husband has airborne allergies and those allergens would gather on the clothes. I still hang a lot in the house, but there is nothing like the smell of clothes that have been drying in the wind and sunshine.
Loving your videos: watching the new and backtracking. Your a large gift of sunshine! Thank you for all of your ideas and sharing where to find things! Your meal ideas awesome. Love you videos because you keep them so interesting with a great attitude and humor. God bless you and your beautiful family. Love from VA❤️
I love to hang dry. I love the way my sheets smell. I don’t have a dishwasher and have a galley kitchen so it can take forever for my dishes to dry. When the Spring and Summer are here. I put them outside on my back patio. Dry in 10 minutes.
I made your crockpot gumbo you shared a few months ago last night and it was delicious. My kids watch your videos with me and they love watching you cook. They think you’re my friend and say “moms watching her friend again” 🤣 I used to watch a lot of the UA-cam moms a few years ago but had to stop because I felt like I couldn’t live up to this amazing mom image. I recently started watching your videos again because you are 1 of the few UA-cam moms that are real. Things don’t have to be perfect and you embrace it. That’s something I am always working on so it’s great to see. Keep up the amazing job!
My Mom dried everything outside even in the winter. Nothing like frozen clothes. Tip: If using cool whip for a salad it's sweet enough you don't have to use sugar. So many recipes call for sugar and I hardly ever use it. The spring salad looks really good next store trip I will pick up what I need for that too. My Great Grandson is 2 and quite a bundle of energy but so much fun to be around. He doesn't miss a thing. Until next video I hope you get some rest and revive yourself. My ex wasn't supportive so I had almost everything to do myself. I stopped at three beautiful sons. 🤩💓
There are actual rules against it in some neighbourhoods. And some condo townhouses have rules against it. Makes no sense, given the cost of electricity.
I can’t help but love how you never seem to take the tags off of anything I noticed it on the pots out front then you showed the welcome mat and I’m like TAG and then laughed and said it wouldn’t be Kim if it wasn’t there lol hahaha also definitely use the dark baskets in the closet I fell in love with them when I saw them!!!
Another good recipe that I thought up as a kid years ago that is similar to yours is taking a loaf of angel food cake. Make a package of vanilla pudding and add cool whip to it to a consistency that tastes great but won't fall off the cake and use that as cake frosting then top it with strawberries, blueberries and kiwis or whatever fruit you choose.
It's so beautiful out back with the water views. With all those trees i would run a couple more lines. Lol And that Strawberry dessert yes mam im here for that all day long. Love you and your channel. 💞🥰🌹
Look after yourself, don’t lift heavy stuff during the next few months ok. You have a lovely home and always enjoy your posts a lot! Take care! By the way, they have organizer baskets the same shape as the turntable for inside cabinets, saw them recently on Amazon but not sure how effective they are though . I leave my larger appliances in the pantry area now.
I'm from Hungary and only a few people I know own driers, so everybody line dries here. I think first people didn't buy it because it was a luxury, but now they just know it's extra energy usage that you can save on for the environment. My mom has always had a drier but we only ever used it during the winter when we needed something dry quickly.
A clothesline prop will help hold the line up since it's such a long line. 🥰🥰🥰 We were out of a dryer for 4 months, and I had to hang dry everything inside because it was wintertime in ohio.. It's miserable when it's the only option for sure, especially since I was used to using my dryer.. lol
I have that exact same Minnie Mouse fork from my childhood, pretty sure I have the matching spoon as well! I used to love helping my Nanny (grandmother) hang clothes on the line. I would get a kick out of it when we'd see storm clouds coming and have to rush out there to get the laundry down as fast as we could, lol. 💜
I'm really happy for your pregnancy, Kim, congrats! Craving sweets a lot means a deficiency in magnesium. You can eat a magnesium supplement next to your prenatal vitamins until 36 weeks. I hope it helps!
I can only line dry outside for a few months out of the year where I live, but I take advantage of it for as long as I can. I love hanging laundry outside; it makes it less of a chore for some reason. There’s just something about watching laundry dry out in the breeze that is so calming. And everything smells fresher too.
I live in WI, and there is still snow on the ground...I'm so jealous that you are able to use your clothesline. I'm originally from CT and the first thing I got when we moved out here was a retractable clothesline ( from sunbeam, I think) and I only get to use it a couple months out of the year but I love it! I wash all my bedding so in the freezing winter I have lined dried bedding that gives me hope of warmer months to come.😉
I love your back garden Kim, it’s lovely in summer for the kids to play around. Try to look for a long tree branch with a v cut in middle to put your clothes lines up I have got one in my garden it’s nice especially when you wash the sheets.
Hi if you get a prop for your washing line. You can hang your your towels from the ends and trousers hang by the ankles then the thicker parts blow more. That was a tip from my late great Godmother. Anyway must go off to hang washing out here in rare dry uk day
Love the new rug!! You can get corners off Amazon to stick on the bottom of your rug to make them lay flat. Hanging out the laundry is cathartic and nostalgic, speaking of nature and the past . . .🧺❤️🧺
You never fail to amaze me with your wonderful videos! I smiled up until the end. Seeing your exhausted face made me quite emotional. I hope you’re giving yourself some grace knowing you can’t do it all right now. Please rest, and know that you are LOVED by so many of us! ❤️❤️❤️
Can I make a suggestion on your closet basket dilemma? Maybe put the baskets on each a different shelf and put other items beside.. for example, small basket on left, larger folded towels on right. Then above, maybe basket on right and two stacks of towels on left. Or a cute decor piece?
🌸 Hey Kim! When we had a clothes line we took a 2x4 and put a long nail on the one end and caught the clothes line on the nail and the other end on the ground. After the clothes were on it and that helped the sagging from the weight of the clothes.
I use my lazy Susan for my small appliances. I have my blender crock pot instant pot, popcorn popper and toaster down there. I actually use it fairly often since we use the toaster almost daily and I can take it right out and pop it on the counter. I did have one at a previous house that we use for pantry items I did not love that especially cuz I feel like can goods would like fall down or stuff would like fall off the shelf and end up wedged behind it.
We line all the time in Ireland and it rains a lot here and only use the dryer to air them. You should try a rotary clothes line which when you arent using can be removed from the ground
I LOVE to line dry my sheets! Nothing better than crawling into bed on line-dried sheets…the smell (OMGOSH)! I used to line dry diapers when my first was a baby…loved seeing them flap in the wind and then folding with that smell! Oh, my!
I only have a clothesline to dry my clothes. What makes it eaiser is I have a stool to sit my laundry basket on. And clothesline poles. You can get them at Lowe's. I fold the laundry outside on the picnic table.
Omg it's my 4th time watching your UA-cam channel and I feel so much boosted for my mood and energy to see your good energy and especially the way you move and laugh hahaha. Please keep up your good vibe so I can have mood booster at least every morning before work 😂 Greetings from Indonesia 😃
on the plants, you could move the succulents and the little bench under the porch and then move the bigger one in the front. Honestly, I think nobody would analyze that. haha you did great! :) But if you are worried about the little bench/chair thing... that is a suggestion. I really enjoy your channel! :)
The wrap looks delicious quick and easy and if you want to step it up a notch take the lettuce and toss it with the dressing and the cheese salt and pepper and then put it on top of your lunch meat that's just incorporates the dressing more so the wrap isn't super dry super yummy
Oh man Kim, We line dried for about a year and a half! Our dryer had stopped working and couldn't afford to get any replacement but now we have a dryer! We were getting tired of line drying! Hubs would go to the laundry mat on rainy days or if we had linens to wash. That gets to be expensive! So it only happened in emergency situations! Lol. Looks like you have perfect wind coming through on the water! You definitely have a beautiful place to enjoy while setting out the laundry! 🏝💖
My washer is always done before my dryer. So I just kept the washer running out a load on the line put a load in the dryer and the washer always has a load going. Super fast way to get a lot of laundry done in one day. This works only if your washer doesn't take all day for a load lol
Kim!!!!!!!!! I love all of your videos. You make my day. Your personality is truly a blessing to you tube. Have a great weekend! Lots of love and hugs to you!
That was what dreams are made of, Lizzie! The dessert, the wrap, the lemon slo-mo all look fantastic. The entryway looks great but where's the flamingo? I love the smell of sheets off the line. Grew up with one and need to get back to it & save some $$$. I could watch your lakeside view forever. Nothing like a free neutral rug to make a room look cozy. Have a glorious weekend, Kim & your motley Wads crew! xoxo
I enjoyed your video today. The strawberry salad looked yummy. I hung clothes on the clothesline when I was a kids, I could totally relate to the whole experience of the sun and the breeze and the peaceful feelings.🤩❤️
Just a tip from my grandmother. Hang jeans and heavier things closer to the trees and lighter things in the middle. It’s easier on your line

I lined dried clothes for five years.. when the kids were small. Loved the smell of them!
Love the rug and the clothesline!! I find hanging out the wash is the best therapy... just feels right !! 🧺👖👕🩳👚
I wash all my bedding so in the freezing winter I have lined dried bedding that gives me hope of warmer months to come.😉
Kim you are a breath of fresh air in a world that is cruel. When I see your video air i get excited.
I love your back garden Kim, it’s lovely in summer for the kids to play around.
Try to look for a long tree branch with a v cut in middle to put your clothes lines up I have got one in my garden it’s nice especially when you wash the sheets.
If you hang your tops from the hem, not the shoulder you don't get peg marks and you don't need to iron.
Thank you friend for sharing while you're not feeling so well. Love ya and the fam. Always Yvonne
Hi if you get a prop for your washing line.
You can hang your your towels from the ends and trousers hang by the ankles then the thicker parts blow more.
That was a tip from my late great Godmother.
Anyway must go off to hang washing out here in rare dry uk day
I’m loving how much you post. It makes my heart happy.
you always make my day.. I love your content. you make me feel relaxed safe and find myself giggling loudly. thanks🥰
Omg I love your channel . I keep watching your older videos - inspirational!!!!!!
Yes please! More Kimberly Whisk! 😍
The slomo with the lemon and that music gets me everytime 😂
Hi Wads family, love what you did at the front door🥰🥰🥰
I use my lazy Susan for my small appliances. I have my blender crock pot instant pot, popcorn popper and toaster down there. I actually use it fairly often since we use the toaster almost daily and I can take it right out and pop it on the counter. I did have one at a previous house that we use for pantry items I did not love that especially cuz I feel like can goods would like fall down or stuff would like fall off the shelf and end up wedged behind it.
The "wind smell" on clothes is why I am waiting for summer so much!! The best smell and feeling! Always love thrive hauls! 😍
Love all the new dinner ideas! I always make at least 1 each time! Seems like each birthday the littles have sleep disturbances for awhile! Poor Mama!
We line all the time in Ireland and it rains a lot here and only use the dryer to air them. You should try a rotary clothes line which when you arent using can be removed from the ground
I am so proud of you for using the clothing line.
Set up a wee folding table and fold outside! I do to enjoy the sunshine here as we don't get much in Scotland. Love a washing line! Love your videos!
The wrap looks delicious quick and easy and if you want to step it up a notch take the lettuce and toss it with the dressing and the cheese salt and pepper and then put it on top of your lunch meat that's just incorporates the dressing more so the wrap isn't super dry super yummy
Nice Video 🥰🥰 I am from Germany and we don't have a Dryer. We dry all the Clothes on a Drying Rack or hang them on Hangers on a Clothing Rack 😅
Good morning Kim
These are my favorite videos of yours!!!
You look amazing 💕💕
Great to see you hanging clothes outside. And pleeeeeeease take the tags off the mat at the front door! Looks great by the way.
Oh man Kim,
We line dried for about a year and a half!
Love the rug! Looks great Kim. Thanks for being here for us even when it’s a struggle!
That rug looks AMAZING in your room!!
You are one of my favourite UA-camrs! All I do Is laugh. I love your videos!
I absolutely love your backyard, the grass and lake is amazing. Please need a bump update
It much to update- I’m 11 weeks I’m sure I’ll share some kind of update after my next apt In A couple of weeks ♥️♥️
My washer is always done before my dryer. So I just kept the washer running out a load on the line put a load in the dryer and the washer always has a load going. Super fast way to get a lot of laundry done in one day. This works only if your washer doesn't take all day for a load lol
Loving the Mickey Mouse fork that you use when eating the strawberry/pound cake salad. Delicious.🍰
Haha sometimes the only silverware left is the kids… good enough lol
My parents still have the Mickey & Minnie spoon and fork set. Was mine when I was a child.
I love watching your videos in your new home! So spacious and love the yard, so beautiful!
