イタリアのRhapsodyというバンドが大好きなんですが、彼らのような壮大な曲になってますね。LOVEBITESはメタリカを感じたり、ジューダスプリーストやストラトヴァリウスやブラインドガーディアンやハロウィーンを感じさせる時もあります。自分がそう感じるせいか、LOVEBITESが自分にとって1番のバンドになったのかもしれません。
I enjoyed reacting to this song with you as this was my first listen. If there is such a thing with Lovebites, I'd call this song a hidden gem. The level of talent and the ability to mesh it together perfectly is why Lovebites is now my favorite band ever, and only my third I've ever called my favorite. First was Led Zeppelin for 30+ years, and then Opeth up until a couple of months ago. Funny that my top two favorite sub genes of metal are thrash and power in which there are a lot of bands I love and listen to repeatedly. Lovebites are schizophrenic metal masters, blending many sub genres into their own uniqueness. The Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath is now my favorite song(s) ever.
Classic and Barroque Music aren't dead. They are alive and reincarnated on the members this band. Thank you for sharing your reaction. Kanpai 🍻

This is an Asami composition (!), celebrating her new-found love for thrash. Since she doesn't play guitar, she composed the riffs on a piano -- perhaps that is why you hear something classical in them? -- and Midori adapted them for guitar.

Definitely my favorite on the EP, well, one of my favorite Lovebites songs at all.
It's heavy, it's fast, it's brutal, but yet also so melodic in the chorus. A little bit like "Set the worldonfire", but I like it even more.

Some fans are worried that Lovebites will lose their thrash side now that Miho has left but this was written by Asami with the help of Mao. It's a bit more symphonic compared to a standard thrash song but its core is still pretty thrashy.
The second half of the song actually reminds of something Nobuo Uematsu would write as boss theme during the PS1/2 era.
Who are those "some fans"? I doubt they will leave Thrash behind. It's just one aspect of their repertoire.
