I’m 63 and I have my share of creaks and groans from old joints, but I like the idea of being able to “pop a squat” and use this toilet. It’s different for a reason, because it’s better, in my opinion. Especially in US houses where there is more than one bathroom, it could be a real conversation piece!😆😀

I think the main benefit of this toilet is the position of the person’s body is more conducive to productive elimination than a sitting toilet.
And without going into details, the American diet for many people makes it difficult to eliminate excreta, so it would help them.
You’re right that many people who are mentally ’change resistant’ would have a hard time adapting to this, but I had no difficulty adapting and I felt good using it.

My theory is that the man maybe have done something so bad so he decided to make himself suffer for his sins so he doesn't have to happen later on, and died while doing it. That would also explain why he left his shoe's in diffrent places, he may have wanted the police to go search for him, find the shoe and then look around the same place as for him a time to suffer more.
