While I was in college, I got to meet Maurice Andre backstage after he performed at the Dallas Symphony March 4th, 1982. Another trumpet player and myself had performed the previous night at a John Philip Sousa's 50th anniversary concert of his death the night before in Oklahoma. The only dress clothes we had on the trip was our tuxedos, so we went to the concert wearing our tuxedos. After the concert, we went to the side entrance of the concert hall and acted like we were supposed to be backstage and we were let in. We got in the reception line and got to shake his hand and talk to him. What a memorable college trip.

C'est Maurice André, toujours brillant, léger, enlevé, rapide, expressif et émouvant.
bar 63 he plays some stuff that isn't in the sheet music shown. Great playing of course!
