Thank you Sandi, you're unlikely to read this, but on the off chance that you do I'd like you to know that you're my hero.
I'm in my 20s and when I was a kid my family thought I was odd and even thought there might be something wrong with me because I would spend hours reading without really talking to anyone. I was "boyish" and hated wearing dresses, I didn't walk "like a girl", my sister tried to teach me how to stop walking like a boy so the boys in my school would fancy me. I laughed too loudly.
I thought for a long time that I was broken and I learned to apologise for being too loud, too quiet, reading too much, not sitting or walking or talking like a girl should, not being "ladylike" ... You are unapologetically yourself, you advocate for women in every form, you have a collection of books that make me so jealous and I want to thank you.... because without even knowing it, you've shown me that being Me is just fine.

Munchkin you are fantastic :) I’m 56 and you are my hero. And be as loud as you like! We’re up here yelling too :)

I only discovered these little gems from Sandi last week. I am now torn between binge-watching to catch up to the current date, or rationing them so I still have 'new' videos to watch once I'm back at work and in need of respite from the madness.

Thank you to Sandy and all your helpers. I started watching these back in March at the start of the lockdown and your calm and kind delivery of inspirational stories provided a lovely peaceful break to everything going on. You have shown that wonderful things can come out of this.

I’d like to take a moment to thank whatever UA-cam does to decide what to recommend on my account. So happy to have found the Vox Tox channel. A relaxing, peaceful moment in an otherwise mad world... Obviously, I subscribed.

I have just stumbled, fell, dropped into these delightful snippets of humour and wisdom. From you,one of my favourite people of all time in the media. Thank you Sandi. Now I have something to look forward to every day. Please, please, keep making them. Even when,or if, life resumes as “normal”. Will we ever see you front QI again? Oh well. Who knows. You are my glimpse of sanity in what has become an insane world. Stay well and safe.

I adore this lady, have done since her ‘Ethel’ days. There are some people who radiate warmth, kindness and intelligence whatever they do. The only other person (apart from Stephen Fry perhaps) who had the same effect on me was, perhaps strangely, Hattie Jacques.

Carl Friedrich Gauss after it was revealed to him that M. Le Blanc with whom he had had lengthy correspondence was actually Sophie Germain:
How can I describe my astonishment and admiration on seeing my esteemed correspondent M. Le Blanc metamorphosed into this celebrated person ... when a woman, because of her sex, our customs and prejudices, encounters infinitely more obstacles than men in familiarising herself with [number theory's] knotty problems, yet overcomes these fetters and penetrates that which is most hidden, she doubtless has the *most noble courage, extraordinary talent, and superior genius.*

My Father and step-Mother, celebrated their anniversary on April 1st. This was back in 1959- 1963, They had never married, living together was frowned upon back then. My Father was killed on his job in Jan 64.

I was actually told at school (schooled in France) that we celebrate April Fool's day because in the old Calendars the first of April was New Year's Day and once the calendars changed people kept wishing each other Happy New Year as a joke and then the jokes evolved from there. I never really researched this but I guess I just blindingly believed my teacher to this day. But I guess she might have told us a theory as a fact.

giddda Sandy. back in about 2002 when everyone having email was still a newish i worked in sales for a company and 1 person in the office who was less than bright was having trouble sending an email and asked for help just as the general manager and marketing manager came to go over a project with me. I looked at the email address and realised he had missed the . between co & nz (should have been co.nz but he had conz). 2 thoughts race to my mouth "oh you mis a . between co & nz" and the one that won the race "oh you ran out of digital postage stamps, you will have to go up the road to (can't remember the shop) to get more. just put them on our account" this was a walk of 15 minutes each way. he was away for an hour. mean while the general manager, marketing manager, me and other staff laughed like made once he was out of earshot. he was less than happy when he got back due to looking an idiot in the shop. He spent ages trying to find a way to get even.
