I actually really liked the Mario Movie, for some reason, I think that part of Bowser singing is one of my favourite parts of the movie, alongside with the references and voices, 9/10 in my opinion

I just watched the movie yesterday and I can say this is the exact movie you have pirated it onto UA-cam because this is literally the exact movie and that’s some pretty good animation you got there glad you’re back
I think toad not having to do the obstacle course was a mistake, but my personal opinion, and maybe how it was intended, was that Toad is actually from the Mushroom Kingdom. He already know how things work, the dangers of the journey, and if Princess Peach was raised by toads and completed the obstacle course herself, then the toads have some sort of knowledge of how to use power ups, be carful around enemies, the likes. Possibly every toad is already trained, or Kevin Toad had a "Get out of course free card" just by being raised in the kingdom. Mario is a outsider, and doesn't know how to effectively traverse across this land. The things he is shown never require much brut force other then jumping high and breaking a block. The course might have been how to be safe in this kingdom, not how to be effective at war crimes in this kingdom. We could also blame this on Peach, who was shown as being self centered at not afraid to take extremally dangerous risks. For example, she originally marries Bowser to save the Toads, but then attacks Bowser with a planed Ice Flower in her bouquet. This extreme risk then leads to a Bonzi Bill flying towards to Mushroom Kingdom, the thing she was trying to prevent. This nature would then affect her decision on toad coming along without training. Another thing, Peach is easily impressed by bravery. The thing that convinced her to bring Mario along was his selfless cause, which was to save his brother. When Toad want to come as well, Peach was convinced by him being a Toad that was brave enough to come along and attempt to protect her. It is likely that Toad not doing to course was a dumb writer choice, but it is fun to think about whether it was subtility explained. Also Peach said she was leaving in the morning so she had time to train Mario she didn't post pone to kong stuff
