Atomi Smart Wifi Colored Lightning. LED String Lights - As Good as Hue Lights?

- I bought these string lights on a whim when I was at Costco (they are available at many stores, but Costco has the best deal I've seen). These lights connect to your WiFi network and are very similar to Hue Lights in terms of operation (also Philips does not make Hue string lights). These are a fantastic way to decorate any location and make great holiday lighting. When I watched back the video and compared my old string lights to these strings lights I was blown away. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone.

They are nice…. But. I use them outside. The sporadically lose the communication mid strand. Part of the strand work correctly then after one light they go crazy.
Is the hue light set around the yard battery or wired in? I really like the colors around your yard in addition to the pergola. Awesome set up! I would like to do something similar.
Thanks so much! The yard lights are all wired.
Huh, thats interesting. Looks bright enough. I was afraid they wouldnt be since several Costco online reviews said they werent all that bright. For my purposes i need them to be able to light up the area pretty well with the warm white setting. Whats your opinion? Do you think they do a good job illuminating the area on their white setting? Id love to know before i go run out and buy them soon.
I think they do a pretty good job of illuminating the porch area. It will really depend on the density of the lightning. One string along probably wouldn't provide enough light for our porch.
@@TheStockpile okay, really appreciate you answering this for me. With the kits being 50$ each in-wharehouse, i think ill buy an extra or two to bunch them up more densely. Ill try to pick them up in a couple days and test one out. Thanks man!
My parents just bought me a set! Do you have any idea how to sync them with music? On the box it shows we can!
Cool! I don't know how o sync them to music- we just use them for basic light. But good luck!
Can you connect the strands together to make it longer ?

Yes, you can connect multiple sets together. You then group them in the app to control to control them at the same time.
Where'd you get those magnets?
Amazon has them.
Except of course when you spend an hour trying 30 different ways to connect them to your network and they will not connect…
They are a PITA getting it attached. I hope that’s just the first initial setup.
That sounds rough! I've put up 5 strings at this point (two location, two networks) and haven't had an issue (iOS app). I've never had them detach from the network either. 🤞🏽
What’s the update on your Porsche?
New engine is on its way to us. We'll start installing in shortly!
Can you connect these without wifi?
I think they work via Bluetooth but I'm not 100% sure.
@@TheStockpile They definitely only work with wifi.
We can prove that one for free. RGBW a smart spike light
