- This Quickstart video will cover how to use Topo Transfer to project clean quad head geometry onto a dense and non-uniform scanned mesh geometry, to get a resulting clean geometry while capturing the features from the scan.

Great tool! One problem though. Can't place points with a wacom tablet. Must use a mouse. Please fix this for the final release. I did file a bug report on this. Thanks for the great work!!

Yes this is a standard texture baking process which can be done in Houdini easily with the labs texture baker
Yes, you can do an attribute transfer, or you can use the bake tools. It's very easy in houdini.

can anyone advise please? i place a few markers and hit solve on the topotransfer tool bar, but i get an error on the topotransfer node saying "Error psourcegroup1 and targetpos1 have a different number of points"
Curious to know how the results compare to R3DS Wrap
It's not even comparable. But the time it takes Houdini vs R3DS is ridiculous. Houdini is almost real-time (maybe a couple of seconds) whilst R3DS takes a much longer time. At least that's what I've deducted, haven't actually used R3DS myself!
@@chillsoft How are you able to compare if you "haven't actually used R3DS myself!" ??
@@chillsoft R3DS does it in about 3 seconds for a full face with about 50 points as guides, personal experience.

I have topo build but no topo transfer...how to get topo transfer?. Using houdini 18.495 with sidefx labs.
