To open up about your skin takes real guts, having suffered from acne myself it really knocks your confidence, well done for opening up and normalising acne/spots especially for younger girls, had I of watched someone when I was younger I would have embraced my acne more and accepted it xx
I’m on accutane too. Some people have side effects and some people don’t. After being on accutane, many people won’t have acne again. The only side effects I’ve had are dry skin and my eczema flaring up.
I have friends that had perfect skin their whole life and then got acne as a side effect due to breast implant illness! Just something worth looking into if you have other symptoms x
Showing “normal struggles” is so refreshing and makes you so much more relatable!! I thank you for opening up to us and making us feel normal to have things such as spots!! Sm love 💗
Getting referred to a dermatologist and going on Accutane/isotretinoin was the only thing that ever cleared up my acne permanently. 6 month course of treatment and 7 years later I’m still acne free! I’d never risk leaving acne again due to all the scarring!
I am so proud of you, Saffron. Your authenticity is so refreshing and I as a neuroscience therapist appreciate you being real with us. IMPERFECT IS PERFECT. I learned “perfectionism paralyzes potential”. You are smart focusing on you and your career and be independent. You have accomplished so much by the grace of God, at such a young age. Rest in your peace. At the right time it will happen❤️🇺🇸🌹💜✝️🌸
Free skin care: new pillow case change every night, turn around use paper towels to dry the skin, backteria stayes on a towel. No chemicals in the products a facial every 28 days due to skin build up, hyoloronic acid ( did I spell that right?) is our best friend! Alcohol free products! Always use the toner for the acid mantle! ❤
I was on roaccutane for around 6/7 months and it was the best thing I have EVER done. It took a lot of patience and side effects but trust me it is worth it. 🥰💖
thank you so much for speaking about your skin Saff. Ive been on accurate before and my acne has since come back but its very refreshing to know that other people have the same problem in their 20s
After watching this video I have now spoken with a consultant and have my appointment through zoom on Thursday. I'm excited and thank you for sharing as I didn't even know this existed ♥️
Doxycycline was amazing for me while I was on it. Been on it twice. Both times, about one and half weeks after finishing my course it came back even worse 😢
OBSESSED with your nails 💅Thanks for being real about your adult acne, it's refreshing to see :) I've all of a sudden started getting spots in the last year and I don't even know where to start with treating it- thanks for sharing!
Trust me, your only young so there's no need to rush into a fully committed relationship. You do you hun, go and be yourself, be young, wild and free! ☺️☺️💖
Totally understand how you feel self conscious with acne. I’ve had it since 2014 and it’s so frustrating when you’ve tried every single home remedy, cream, face washes, serums. Recently it’s been getting to me and on a 21 week NHS waiting list to see a dermatologist it’s tough x
Yes obagi is so good I have been using it for 6 weeks now and my skin has cleared up for the first time in 6 years 😭 it really is saving my life I’m so grateful for it , keep going with it after about 2 months it should completely clear up !
Obagi is so great, I use their tretinoin! But please do bear in mind your skin may go through a purging phase where it can look a lot worse before it gets better!
I would say your skins probably connected to your thyroid. Underactive - dry, overactive is oily. If your dose is too high it may have pushed you into the overactive category where your skins producing too much oil.
My parents surprised me with a dog when I had to live alone while at uni in a different state and it was the best thing they could’ve done. I’m such an introvert and family person so it was really hard moving to a different state and not knowing anyone. It was so nice to come home to a place where I wasn’t completely alone and my dog became my best friend. I talk to her all the time and of a night we’ll cuddle and watch tv together, definitely helps when you’re going through that “all guys are dicks” phase 😂
I love your hair Saff!! Love everything in this video and your honesty is amazing. You make me feel so much less alone and you make me want to keep living life to the absolute fullest, like you 🥰❤💕 love the black nails, might have to try that!! Sending tons of love and big hugs from Hollywood!! xoxo ❤❤❤❤❤💕💕💕💕💕
Evening Saff ❤ and with the spots it happens to us all, good doctor can prescribe things, there are treatments and creams too don’t give up you are still beautiful! 😊
Looking into your diet is always a good idea. I suffered with severe acne on my cheeks, stopped eating gluten and it went straight away. If I ever consume gluten it come straight back. Maybe consider a food diary and see if it coincides with your flare ups
Sweetness your hair looks absolutely fabulous! Also thank you for sharing your skincare journey and being so brave. Sorry to hear you're struggling, sending giant hugs!!! ❤ 🌻
Hey girl! If you get fresh rosemary from Tesco/Asda/Marks & Spencer’s anywhere atal - boil it in water on a high heat for 10 minutes - remove the rosemary and add 2 drops of peppermint - let it cool & put in a spray bottle & spray on your skin everyday & night 💕 this worked so well for me hope it works for you xxx
I have such bad acne and nothing is getting rid of it ! It flares up but I’ve had it for years and it’s ruining my self esteem and I am almost 22 so I keep praying it’s going to go with age but it’s not !! Any help in the comments would be incredible x
Accutane is apparently amazing. I'm just commenting in case you haven't seen them but there's a lot of comments here from people who suffered with acne who were put on a course of Accutane with great success. I think its on prescription so I'd imagine you'd have to see your doctor. Definitely worth looking into though. Good luck, and never forget you're beautiful no matter what. Your skin is just the wrapping paper. The real gift is whats inside 💜💜
@@lindseyscammell9347 those were such lovely words, Thank you so much! I have heard about accutane but I am nervous for it due to the side effects but I will definitely do more research on it
I used to have acne and I cut out dairy which helped a lot and also tried to eat better and drink around 2.5L of water a day. I also stopped using drugstore skincare and started to educate myself about the ingredients I was using on my face. If you ever need products I recommend buying from facetheory
Yeah if I was you I'd go ahead and see your own doctor and discuss it with them. They may even refer you to a dermatologist, and they'd definitely give you the best advice. From what I can tell the accutane side effects are different for everyone. Some have amazing results with limited side effects, others aren't so lucky. But whatever the case for you none of the potential side effects are permanent. They'll stop when you stop taking the medication. So if your doctor recommends you try it I'd give it a shot. Worse case scenario is its not for you, so you stop taking the medication, any side effects stop and you're no worse off. But the main thing I'd urge you to do is get professional advice first. And what I said is very true, you really are beautiful. But if it's affecting your life and mental health then just keep trying, you will find something that works for you. Sending you lots of love n hugs kitten 💜
Try the Mediterranean diet for your skin. I saw another UA-cam'er doing it for her acne and her skin looked amazing after 1 month of eating the Mediterranean diet.
I literally could not stop looking at your necklace flapping around at the beginning 🤣! (Absolutely loved your video though, your hair looks stunning ❤)
Hi Saffron I am so happy for you.Your such a nice person.I love your hair so much it looks so glamorous.Your videos always make me happy.Nice photos with your mum.😍
Thank you for being yourself and being so real with your fans - makes us feel more confident and normal as women. Oh and Next time your mum goes to costa when she orders tell her to say to them extra hot - this is what my father in law does so no need to reheat😅 ❤
I had bad skin like that, went to a dermatologist, tried medication, creams etc and in the end I just used dove soap and water on my face and it disappeared
I used obaji and it worked wonders but recently I’ve got a load of acne on my jaw line so I’ve booked another appointment to the dermatologist so hopefully they can sort it out again

Babe I had the exact same. Perfect skin all my teens and suddenly at 20 years old I got hormonal acne. My mum just told me to go on Yasmin the contraceptive pill. IT CURED IT! I now have flawless skin and rarely get spots. For you girls out there struggling with hormonal acne, this is the solution. It also made my boobs bigger so double perks ;)
I haven’t got acne but I can’t imagine what it’s like to have it to have it! As a teenage girl I haven’t really ever experienced acne I get a few spots here and there but thats it! Also I do where makeup…full coverage as-well! Maybe I’m just lucky 🤷♀️.
