I live about 45 minutes away from Thorney in a likewise small town and appreciate both Thorney and Finedon where I live for their beauty and the mounds of history. You are most certainly very right - very few young people appreciate their surroundings these days. It seems to be a cultural/upbringing thing but it is very wrong, and I salute your comment as a 20 year old who was brought up to appreciate and love my surroundings, and love my country.
Yes, Cambridgeshire is very nice and is in the flat part of the Fens and East Anglia which covers Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire and part of Essex. Lovely parts of the country! Also I see what you mean about the houses - there are so many in Thorney with the same appearance and some are quite old but Thorney is a truly lovely town - I once wanted to live there myself and still consider it but I think I might stay put. Thanks for the comment! From Jamie.
to the first comment, I live in a city many hours away from Thorney, visit a few times a year. To me, I feel trapped in this concrete jungle, full of stupid, materialistic teens. It's a beautiful place. Clearly you feel nothing for your blessing, for your luck. :(
