Salam akhi, after how long did you see the benefits? I know it will be subjective but telling us might inspire some motivation in the muslims to do istighfar.
I mean bro this seems good but we can't just say we got a blessing in reward for the isthigfar although it's possible, it can also be as a punishment in order to increase us in our Haram Eg:The rizq being supplied to Isreal That's a means of destruction for them Wa Allahu a'alam
You remember the sin then ask forgiveness from Allah S.W.T, and you try your best not to return to do the sin, and then Allah S.W.T will reward you for that in this life and after
