Hey I have a question, I've tried this in my map and I've followed all the steps, linked all the correct things and linked the timers, and NOT gates to the correct trap doors but for some reason it's still doing what happens at 01:41 and I'm confused on why it's happening because I've followed the steps and linked the timers, but also when I start the round it seems to go off because I hear the noise of it. Nothing seems to be working the way it's supposed to and I'm wondering if I'm doing it wrong since I've done almost exactly what's shown in the video.
i think you would just have to redo the whole thing but make the trapdoor you stand on closed after pressing the button. this would work better in singleplayer maps. its hard to explain but i think it is possible.
i have a problem the trapdoors are working with the not gates and do go up instead of down, the problem is it doesnt pull me up with it, my head just gets stuck

I was trying to make a WOULD U RATHER game where the piggy flips the lever that opens the 2 doors with a 30 second timer BEHIND the doors(the timer ONLY starts once the lever is flipped) THEN once the timer ends, the doors close and trapdoors open in the small rooms(the closing doors r so players DONT try to cheat lol!) then once piggy flips the lever AGAIN(resetting the system) a trapdoor UNDER where the players fall will have a portal UNDERNEATH that takes the players BACK UP! That's what I want it to be like so plz help
Put Piggy in a room with two buttons, which should also probably be labeled. Have players start on a trapdoor. Make the below area two trapdoors, differently coloured, and link a button to both trapdoors. Then, link up the second button to a 30 second timer, the trapdoor on the top, and a laser gate between the two trapdoors. Then set the button to any short amount of time (1-2 seconds). With this, flicking the lever will throw the players down to the two platforms, reset the top platform once everyone's down, start the timer, and then prevent them from switching sides once the timer ends. You can also link up that timer to the big number board thing, if you want to give the players a giant countdown clock. Finally, put portals underneath the trapdoors, which wrap back up to the top to set them back. It's different from what's described here, but it serves the same purpose.
Hi Ernie! I enjoy watching your videos, and thought of something cool for build mode! I realized that you can now make some sort of doors seek chase with death bricks, touch triggers for some doors, and signs you can flip upside down on a roof so only the particles is what's showing. You can also use dialog and speed blocks to make it more realistic! I haven't tried this out for myself, but I just randomly thought of it.
@@FartRimpsonGaming You just have to do all the steps except that consider the top door to be the bottom door and the top door considered to be bottom door (as explained in this video) But just do the rest normally but forget anything about the not gates, except the not gate for the bottom door cuz you'll need that
do you know you can spare some time by making every timer the same time (1 second) by connecting one by one? timer+NOTgate>timer+NOTgate>timer+NOTgate>...
@cloudy its self explanatory. Just watch this tutorial, but forget about the not gates, and consider the 1st one to be the top one and the 4th (or the last trapdoor) to be the bottom one. And the top door would be considered as the bottom door, and the bottom door as the top. And forget ALL about the not gates EXCEPT the not gate for the bottom door, cuz you'll need that. But its pretty obvious
Tested SOme stuff....Its because The Trapdoorw with Not gates are now broken at the start of the game. What you gotta do: Press the button without going tinto the elevator. Wait Until Its Off agan, now it should be back to normal
also you have to connect the bell timer to the powered sound block and then connect the top door timer to the top door. you didn't mention that and i got mad at it.

Look man, I want the real elevator from safe place because like, this is a little too much work for making a elevator plus, There is no elevator key. But, I’ll try this still. Oh yeah and the real elevator from safe place already has bell, so you wouldn’t have to put a music Id in it.

I did everything with an additional two trapdoors and without the bell but it didn’t work. I added two more timers and not gates and still didn’t work. For the button having a maximum ten links I linked it to a link hub and linked the last timer and the last two not gates, did I do anything wrong? Or is it just my luck with these tutorials?

Are the timers linked to the not gates behind it? if so make sure those not gates are connected to each trap door for their respective numbers

Even better: there are literally black goopy chasing hands in Build Mode.
