Sir pls tell me what is the difference between Ovule & archegonium, megaspores
No one will reply
megasporangium/ovule contains megaspore mother cell which undergoes meiosis to form 4 haploid megaspores. Only one megaspore develops into a muticellular female gametophyte/embryo sac which has 2 or 3 sex organ called archegonium developing in it. So during fertilization, male gamete reach towards a archegonium and fuse with the egg cell in it to form a zygote
