Thank you so much for following my channel, I have huge respect for Indians especially Indian bus drivers, They look so relaxed while driving at high speeds.
I have been in the Philippines several times a taken taxis, buses, jeepneys, even tried driving myself. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA and am a school bus driver. I have notices every one of these are STICK SHIFTS - the best - I despise automatics. We had CROWN (name of manufacturer)buses with tandem axle and ten gears. You could either double clutch or 'float the gears', i.e. shifting without the clutch. Just curious, how many gears does this bus have? Is the transmission a synchromesh transmission, i.e. you don't need to match RPMs with road speed, or do you need to double-clutch to shift gears on your bus? Please let us know. BTW you drive EXCELLENTLY and very PROFESSIONALLY :).
Thanks for the kind words. It's a manual with 6 gears. If you have time you can visit my latest videos with my new company. Every passenger deserves the best possible service. I want them to have a safe and comfortable trip when they travel with me.
@@PinoyAfricanbusdriver No problems, but again, please let me ask, do you need to DOUBLE-CLUTCH and when you shift gears or can you move the shifter from one gear to the next with only single clutch and not be concerned of the engine RPMs when you shift gears?
@@Ken_Weber_organist Hi, I'll try to answer your question based on my experience of driving buses with 6 gears in my experience I recommending only double-clutching only if you need to power through a corner or overtake a vehicle so you can accelerate much faster.
@@bennybouken The only real need to double clutch is for vehicles whose gears are NOT synchronized. I have driven buses with 5 gears and all the gears are synchronized so there is no need to double clutch, except for 1st gear. To put into first gear on some, you must come to a complete stop, or else the gears will grind. With my bus, first gear is a 'granny gear' only to start the bus moving and it maxes out at only 11 kilometers per hour. Let me try to rephrase my original question: Are the six gears in your bus SYNCRHONIZED? If they are then you should be able to shift gears with only SINGLE clutch (just like you would when shifting gears in a car). Double clutching should only be necessary if you need to be watchful of the engine RPMs at the givine road speed, and also double clutching should have no bearing whatsoever on your ability to accelerate the bus, if anything it takes a few split seconds LONGER than if you single clutch. Again, double clutching is only necessary to match RPMs with road speed to shift into the next gear or else the gears will grind.
di ko masasabi kung parehas lang ang driving exp sa bus at truck, ang sigurado akong iba ay yung pag kambyo since most buses ay nasa likod ang engine. mas mahirap ipasok ang kambyo, most buses din naman ay based sa chasis and engine ng mga truck lodi.
