You guys have the best and most relatable channel! It definitely makes me feel like as I transition to vegan that I'm not alone. I would love for you guys to do a vegan gift guide. Like your favorite vegan snacks on the go, things that you love to have around your house that are vegan and cruelty free. Those sort of things!
Yes! I went to Rutgers and still live nearby. Sadly, the place that had the best vegan fat sandwiches sold to new owners and no longer sells them. The Fat Chris sounds great!
Oats are such a great pantry staple. You guys probably don’t need any video suggestions, but it could be fun to focus on one ingredient and the many ways it could be used. For example: recipes showing oats used in both sweet and savoury dishes. Grinding oats and using as flour. Making oat milk. Using it as a beauty product, etc...
I love that you've explained how you do the food shots and the process of making your youtube videos! I'd love to see a BTS video of how your youtube videos are made from start to finish!
YOU TWO ARE THE KING & QUEEN OF FABHAIR!!! like WOW!! Oh and i just LOVE his green apple cider cup with those lovely forestytreees!! PS...hun tell your Mum that i dunno bout spinach, but grated zucchinis kinda vanish in cooked oatmeal! And you dont have to add a ship-ton of maple syrup to mask the taste cos you cant taste the grated zuccs at all! Nice way to get a couple extra veges in!
Would you guys be open to doing a video for people who are vegan but have dietary restrictions? Ive been dealing with gastritis and I’ve been struggling trying to season my food without peppers, garlic, and onions. Not a lot of food guides online for vegans dealing with gastritis 😭
I feel your pain, I have food intolerances to dairy, eggs, soya, yeast sometimes but suffer with inflamed gallbladder and Barrett's esophagus, I've recently had a huge aversion to meat and feel like my body is trying to tell me to go fully vegan, my dietary requirements are expensive, how do you afford organic vegan products. I live in Ireland.
I too have been finding it so difficult to find any info on vegans who suffer from gastritis and acid reflux! When I was diagnosed the Dr. pretty much told me to eat bland foods. But that halted my digestion 😩 So Prilosec is my savior, although it’s not ideal to take all the time.
shaft2365 fruits, vegetables, rice and whole grains like oats, millet, buckwheat, etc, beans and pulses like lentils are some of the least expensive foods in the grocery stores. Specialty vegan foods can be very expensive and are not necessarily healthy as they are often filled with salt and oil as many attempt to mimic the flavour of animal foods. It is not necessary to eat exclusively organic to be vegan. In most parts of the world organic foods are still quite expensive compared to traditionally farmed foods. If you have a farmer’s market near you or a grocer who sells local produce it is well worth speaking to the person who sources the items you are interested in. Often farmers grow using organic methods but can not afford to obtain organic certification. Others may not have farmed long enough to be eligible yet. No matter what, it is better to be eating fruits and vegetables that are not organic than to be eating meat if it is making you ill. Wishing you peace and good health as you traverse the road ahead. With grace XO
You guys rock! I am new to vegan life, started a month ago and went fully plant based as much as I can but cut all animal products regardless and as much oil as I can also without causing problems. This has helped me maintain my weight as I try to start to eat muscle at 41 years old. I'm working on a documentary right now about the past year and losing 150 pounds because I started eating much better and ty for the ideas here for new recipes to try
Loved this video.. so fall and cozy! I’ve been subscribed for a few years now and just recently moved to Portland due to my husband being transferred for work. We did an across country trip and are brand new to the area. Would love to hear/see more vegan places around the city OR outdoor things you like to do in the area! Definitely going to head to Modern Times soon.
I am so happy you're such genuine, raw and honest people. The intro in which you said you just weren't feeling like showing us your morning routine was such a great reminder UA-camrs are also humans. Thank you for that! It really makes your channel super special! Also, luckily oats don't really expire (you know, they're a dry good) but I highly recommend turning some into granola! Much easier to get through such a big amount :D . Anyways, sending you all the love! Stay safe and have a great ay or night!
My mom adds spinach to her oats XD she blends it with water and protein powder and then uses that mixture to cook the oatmeal in. She seems to like it lol
yo i went to rutgers and all i wanted in life at the time was a fat sandwich named after me! im an nyc woman now but now but this just made my jersey roots smile so so so hard!! congrats!
4:43 Chris, this sandwich is CRAZY! My gosh, I though the name says it all but when you listed the components and showed it I realised it was not created as "The Fat Chris" by accident. Fries? Meatballs? Mayo? Chickn'? Caramelised onions? It has it ALL! Congrats for this collab!
This felt more relaxed and real. Hope you’re able to get some rest. The cookies and pasta looks delicious. I usually just used store bought sauce. I wonder how frozen butternut squash would work with a jarred sauce?
Great video and spinach and any greens in my oats don't sound very appealing so I am with Jasmine's dad on that. I wouldn't mind berries, nuts and seeds in my oats. Great tips for butternut squash preparation. If you can find already prepared/chopped up butternut squash in store that always a option that is what I use.
I made a huge batch of butternut squash cheese sauce this weekend and I had to peel and cut 2 huge butternut squashes. I thought it was weird how my hands felt afterwards (orange and cracked). Thanks for the info about wearing gloves, I'll have to remember that next time!
I’m going to make ur eggplant vegan meatball on my 💚vegan weight loss channel ☺️next week and I’m so excited!!!! I just love u guys and love ur recipes bc they r healthy and i can eat them during my weight loss journey 🥰 ps I’ll of course give u guys credit for it! Ps2 roasted tomatoes are life changing!
Maybe you could donate any extra oats you have and don’t think you can use to a local food shelter? Also maybe make some oatmeal cookies with oatmeal flour with homemade oat milk XD that might be tasty :3
You have really good skin. Btw, the food looks delicious so I know I would smash it. Just kinda scary to go vegan completely but may help me with my health problems🤷
I went vegan for my health as well. It wasn’t as hard as I had expected once I found alternatives for the dairy items. Meat was not hard for me as I never ate much meat anyway. Good luck!
@veganlunchmom @KerryHarmon Thank you so much fo sharing! I appreciate it so much. It probably will since my gut is not in the best shape and been noticing my eating patterns. I will try it!

I love that you've explained how you do the food shots and the process of making your youtube videos! I'd love to see a BTS video of how your youtube videos are made from start to finish!
One Degree oats are the very best! Try the sprouted steel cut oats!

Happy Pear has a low FODMAP meal plan. Not free but if you’re interested.

These are so awesome and realistic meals to make on a whim! Thanks for sharing
Best way to end my day is with one of ur videos 😍 thanks for your great work😊
Thanks so much we appreciate it 😍♥️
Spinach is great folded in to a tofu scramble for breakfast!
I literally put spinach in my oats everyday 😅
I recommend adding taco seasonings or your favorite hot or chilli sauce, sooooo good!
We will try that! We actually have a HUGE container of taco seasoning that we need to use lmao. thanks for the tip :)
Your vlogs are such a bright spot in my day right now
Those oats are truly the best. So much better than bobs and less expensive. Also half the bag doesnt turn to dust
Yay cookies!! I gotta try those
jasmine looking pretty like always🥺🥰
I love your photography info.

Awesome vid like always but j was distracted there whole time by jasmines GORGEOUS hair
I love you guys! You're such a fun couple.

Lol. I love how Jasmine was talking about demonetization while filming directly down her shirt.
Such great ideas! Thanks for sharing this amazing video with us! :)

WOW!! That hair is gorgeous!
I care about the photography stuff! Thanks for talking about it.
Haha perfect! Thanks for watching 🙏🏼♥️
I need to start adding greens to my meals more often. But maybe not so much to Oatmeal. lol.
I added powdered kale to my oatmeal to get extra greens
tell your mom to make zucchni oatmeal and she can still keep it sweet rather than savory. so goood!
would you guys ever do the eating all one color for a day videos?
We have before! Here’s our green foods video ua-cam.com/video/egHloBsYJXo/v-deo.html :)
I’m going to make ur eggplant vegan meatball on my 💚vegan weight loss channel ☺️next week and I’m so excited!!!! What website you got your vegan t-shirt Jessica
So cute how they cover up with u. Great idea for the sauce ty for sharing and all the tips too. Is this your full time job ?
We love making butternut squash soup! 💚🌱
7:33 How about grated zucchini added to oatmeal? I know it is "green", not "a green" but it is sth and it is completely tasteless ;D
Love you guys too-you're pretty awesome!☺️💞
When you take a picture or video with your camera for UA-cam or Instagram how do you transfer it to your computer?
Is there a apple cider recipe link from the one in this video? Thanks!
I like what I see from your playlist... Is that on spotify?
Is that sandwich available at modern times Santa Barbara?
A sandwich at Modern Times named after you?!?! #winning
Love your dogs! :)
I hate cutting Squash too!! It always takes me about 20 minutes to peel and chop 😂
Love your videos!
Random question but is Franks red hot sauce vegan? It says it has distilled vinegar and I don’t know exactly how it’s distilled!?
Do you guys have a PO box?
Everything looks amazing! I wish I liked oats/ oatmeal but I just cannot 🤷🏻♀️
Quick tip. You can just oil your hands if you don't have gloves. Helps with the irritation.
thank you!
I like your videos ! 👍
I need to try cooked apples on top of my oatmeal I go back and forth with having oatmeal or avo toast for breakfast❗️
I add pumpkin puree to my oatmeal, almond milk, and a little maple syrup, and cinnamon. Omg it's good and I hate oatmeal lol
Berry: Jumps in the car and crawls under the seat.
Jasmine: 🗣Berr where are you going?
Camera abruptly cuts off. 😂😂😂
hahah
Does Berry get along with the other dogs at camp?
Surprisingly yes! Haha he’s a bit iffy with most dogs but I think he’s used to everyone there 🙂
Did I miss the liquid iv code?! We love it and only tried it because of your Costco trip 😂
Update! We got our code fixed :) you can use “sweetsimplevegan” or our link glnk.io/koyv/sweetsimplevegan for a discount ♥️
😂 I love your parents! lol I agree with your dad...spinach in oatmeal does not sounds good. :D
🤣🤣🤣
I wanna gave the cookies recepie 😭😫😫
The domestic geek has some really good oatmeal recipes
Rutgers fat sandwich!!
I make chocolate oatmeal and put in cut and shredded zucchini in it and you can’t taste it
😍
If you’re wanting to use up lots of oats why don’t you make vegan ANZAC biscuits?
Maybe you could donate any extra oats you have and don’t think you can use to a local food shelter? Also maybe make some oatmeal cookies with oatmeal flour with homemade oat milk XD that might be tasty :3
Donate oats to food pantry!!
This is so random... was it hard to move away from your family? Struggling with the decision now.
I need someone to mail me that fat sandwich to Texas!
You have really good skin. Btw, the food looks delicious so I know I would smash it. Just kinda scary to go vegan completely but may help me with my health problems🤷
It will probably help. You can just gradually take away milk and meat products as you replace them with vegan options. 🙂
