Hey, I just turned 66, and remember Phil Collins and Genesis as one of the greatest bands of my generation. For him to still be able to do this whether he is standing in sitting doesn't matter. Those were the days,,......
To all the negative responses. Yes Phil looks old.... Because he is old. Good for him to still get on stage an perform. His son is playing drums so I as a father am willing to bet he did this for him.
Yeah he's on stage but he sounds like shit, and by the way can't these kids of rock stars doing something else other than what their dads accomplished.
Hoss … Aduino ...Tom … Phil is seriously ill with an illness that makes it difficult for him to walk and stand up and who causes severe pain. Before writing stupid things get informed.
Hey King Dipshits. He had 2 surgeries due to nerve damage he suffered during the Genesis reunion tour. One surgery was preventative, making sure there was no spinal damage. He isn't "old" he is injured. Go watch a Miley video and leave this legend alone. With love, of course.
Phil Collins was one of my greatest musical heroes during my early teens and beyond and he on his own and with Genesis, Brand x and others created most of the soundtrack to my life. However it truly saddens me to see him still performing like this. I recently saw Steve Hackett live in the UK on the Genesis revisited 2 tour and he was utterly fantastic! Even at 67 Steve still looks fit and younger than his years and can still perform to the top of his game. Sadly as a drummer ( and an excellent one at that ) 60 years of drumming has taken a heavy toll on Phil and for me I would rather remember him in his 70's and especially 80's heyday! I may get slammed here but even his voice sounds way off point. To see him sitting on a chair with his stick and glasses straining to deliver his classic material is upsetting to watch.
Totally agree about Steve Hackett. I saw him as well in recent years and he was dynamic and full of energy about the stage. Looked fit as if he had been 20 years younger than he was--simply put, Steve Hackett looked GREAT! And amazing for 67! Phil, looks like he is out there for the money and seems to not have his heart in the performance. I mean holding the mike out to the audience is a stage trick as old as vaudville where the performer is trying to work as little as possible.
I agree. Genesis are my favourite band ever. Phil is one of my idols. Not as a solo artist. My sister went to this concert and said it was thoroughly entertaining night. I could not watch Phil this way. I like to remember as he was. Very sad to see his health deteriorate this way.
Yes, ‘lazycalm’, you need to shut your trap! Just say it’s good to see Phil up there still doing something! As a nurse who has given chemo to young ones and old, you never know what life has in store, believe me!!!!! When I was a kid, I was say a person looked old, and my mom would say live long enough and you will be too... I am now a relatively healthy 50, but my mom died years ago blind and almost losing her feet to diabetes. I love Genesis and have ‘spotified’ all their stuff and it’s good to see him still performing. I believe he has had health issues if I remember correctly... one just never knows what life has in store... maybe send Phil a note saying it’s good to see him still hitting the stage! A lot of people out there wish they could (physically that is) believe me....
Phil is awesome! That love for him doesn't go away ever. I wish I could see him live. Everyone ages! Good for him after surgery! I hope genesis comes out for a reunion tour
With his heart he is still giving 100 %. Just his body refuses to serve like he did a decade ago. I remember his performance in Wembley 2007 with Genesis during the LIVE EARTH event. He was great then. My respect to him, for showing himself that way now. And thanks for all the magic music and moments and for giving us power and joy in our lives. ❤👍
He was one of my favorite drummers in the world, world class drummer, Brand X was off the charts.. so sad what happened to him,, I'm just glad he's out there playing again singing.. love you Phil.
I am free man all the time - He had nerve & back issues, retired, divorced, nearly killed himself drinking, his foot became paralyzed from back surgery.... all in the last 10 years!
He certainly was that Scott and way better than he would admit to being. Anyone who thinks otherwise need listen to anything by Brand X with Phil on the drums.
Scott Loveday I couldn't agree more!! I've watched just about every concert I can find online and I saw him live Sunday night and he sounded better than he has in YEARS. He was "air drumming," and would stand up randomly while singing some songs, definitely gaining his strength back. ☺️ It was a dream come true.
I think its awesome to see him still performing at his age. And to everyone hating on him because of that, look at other artists like EWF, Stevie Wonder, Foreigner. They are all past their prime yet they still perform and have fun with it as I'm sure Phil is doing here. I wouldn't care if he was sitting down or jumping around doing backflips. It's the music we're all here for
Mixed feelings. I'm a huge Phil Collins fan, I think he's one of the greatest musicians and songwriters in pop music history. Definitely one of my top five all time drummers. On the one hand very happy to see him still performing, on the other, sad to see him looking so frail....either way, rock on Phil and much gratitude for your amazing body of work.
Phil Collins has always been a favorite!!! A ton of credit to him for going on tour again, even with battling heath problems. He is a tough cookie. I have a good friend who is pretty much a dead ringer for Phil. He has even been mistaken for Phil.

Ficou velho mais ainda canta muito sou fã dele os cantores bons da minha geração envelheceram todos não queria que ele envelhecese mas é a lei da vida mas fico feliz de vê lo aqui com seus clássicos viva a pill colins
Great arrangement of Invisible Touch with the horn section. Also Phil standing to emphasize the "she will fuck up your life" lyric!
You sure had one great view!! i was at the show that night in the upper sections. Phil Collins is one amazing artist. His son is supper talented as well.
I love Phil Collins💜🙌🏽🎉💃🏽
Hey , where’s Chester on drums?
เยี่ยมย อดมากครับ excellent man
Sad. I'm praying for his health.
You can tell by the end of invisible touch, as much as he loves that his son is playing, he wants to be behind that kit playing.
Why?
The main man Phil!
Good to see him perform again.
But why is he seated?
Absolutly great musician
God bless him
Belly Millan ?????
Espero algún día poder ir a ver a este grande de la música...
Cool to see that they still have the same bass guitar player....sorry i forgot his name.
What's "old father time " doing there ?
El mejor...amo a phill collins....💟💟
Love Phil and genesis and wish him good health, but i hope tickets were no more than $50.
Next tour....Collins...son on drums...Thompson drums....Collins lead vocal...Banks keyboards...Rutherford Bass and moog taurus...Stuermer and Hackett guitars....YOU LIKE IT????
Yes. Saw Genesis many times. I'd love to see the line up you suggest, very much.
G
Leland Skar on bass
I definitively like it
No. Collins is a joke now
Well done Phil. Good to see you on stage.
Phil estoy casi en shock se me olvida que los años pasan te conocí cuando era una niña no había medido el tiempo que a pasado pero te sigo amando a ti y tus hermosas canciones ídolo de la tierra al cielo mi héroe
He sounds a lot better than earlier on in this tour - looks like he’s in a bit better shape as well :)
It really Sucks getting old!
Scott Smith especially when your mind tells you you're 20 and then you look in the mirror "damn I'm not 20 anymore "😲
Still beats the alternative!
What is this bassist name? Such a famous guy and I keep forgetting!
Leland Sklar, the most recorded bass player in the World. He has played in more than 2000 records. Cheers.
@@MoodyWatters leland! Yeah yeah Thank you. Somehow his name slip my memory. Thank you bro.
So sad 😔
The point isn't getting old we all if lucky gonna eventually get there but are we still gonna be able to do what we used to do .
Saludos de LIMA PERU. GRANDE PHILL COLLINS. UN MAESTRO
