Was there sitting on pit road behind Terry Labonte’s pit stall. Entered the track as a Rusty fan. Left as a Terry Labonte fan. Terry Labonte’s crew chief Andy Graves gave me 4 lug nuts off a tire, an autographed 8 by 10 and a signed hat from Terry to get rid of my Rusty hat. And since this day I’ve been a Hendricks fan ever since.
Got it from someone who use to live in Terre Haute after moving their from Indy area. Wondered why the footage in prior to the race and local commercials were CBS promos.
When we lost our ABC affiliate after 1995, WTHI aired the 500 and 400 from 1996-2000. When the station was sold to another company, they stopped airing the races, which led to my first 500 in person in 2001.
My favorite Brickyard 400. Great pit strategy by Ricky Rudd and his Pit Crew.
Dale got his head down at the beginning like "shut up Jerry 🙄 damn ya think i need the reminder?😮💨😏 Fuck off already! 🤣😅🤣"
the very first NASCAR race I watched live; still a fan over 20 years later.
I was there as well, but it wasn't my first race.
First race I went to also. Was 7 years old.
Ken Miles 🇬🇧 FORD GT-40 Winner season 55' 🏁👀 Time 5.06
My mom and I watched this together. I remember being very happy for Ricky Rudd winning
The 10 team rolled the dice and came up looking like a bunch of geniuses. My hat's off to whomever called that fuel run.
It took a while to realize that wasn't Delta Force playing at the start.
Probably the best Brickyard 400 of them all.
2000 and 2002 were also, okay. 2018 has been the best one in years. 2017 was just nuts.
