It’s so funny hearing you talk about reviews that don’t include any samples. That is what it was like back in the day. 10 minute reviews with no samples.

    WHO'S THE GUY!?!!?!?! lol
Growth... lol. I had a guy call me from yelp that proceeded to tell me that if i don't advertise and pay yelp my studio will go out of business in a year and the business wont grow. I explained to him that I've been in business since the 90's and don't take on public clients since all my clients are corporate. He then proceeded to berate me for that. Like WTF. happy to see a new video thanks for the content.

I think I know the video you guys were talking about with the complaints about YT (we're talking about JD, right?) and putting the conclusions at the end and yes I agree it was a little weird and momentarily offputting but I'm gonna be a little more forgiving because I felt it was an authentic, emotional reaction on his part about making a video optimized for the Almighty Algo vs making the best video possible for his viewers, by which I mean, like, the kind of review video that he would prefer to watch in our shoes.
I don't watch all his videos because I'm not exactly his target market but I agree that he's probably the most professional... *presenting* (if that makes sense) YT reviewer so yeah it was definitely a little surprising to see the mask slip and see the annoyed and disappointed creator instead. But I can relate. (Full disclosure: I've interacted a little bit with the guy on Discord and he's never been anything but pleasant to the weirdo making niche audiobook content so I may be a little biased).
