Thtank you so much Richard for another valuable lesson. This helps me with the job. You make our lives so much easier. Thanks a lot for your hard work. Thumbs up even before starting. You love teaching people and we love learning from you. Can't sleep well without thumbs up to Richard's tutorial 👍
Your video is very useful but I would like to ask what happens when the pay per hour is different whether it is day, night or Sunday. For example, if the job starts on 11/15/2020 18:00 and ends on 11/16/2020 03:00, how do we calculate how many hours will be paid with price per hour (a) and how many paid with price per hour (b) when (a) is between 06: 00 and 22:00 and (b) between 22:00 -06:00 ?
Don't know what to tell you. It works for me. I've been teaching this for 27 years and it's been the same the whole time. Maybe you've got a problem somewhere else in your query. Try running down this: 599cd.com/Trouble
hi richard I need your help, in this video you add a formula. how can implement this formula in my database? that is table example, machine breakdown start time and breakdown end time, how can calculate? how many times was machine breakdown? i'm waiting for your answar. Thanks.
Please, how to calculate the electrical power consumed during the night shift , the first counter reading is at 8:00 pm and the second reading at 8:00 am the next day, Thanks
Hi, how can you prevent the date and time(s) from being changed when the employee(s) press the button(s) twice or more? is it possible that no matter how many times they press those buttons, the time won't change since it was pressed the first time, when he or she clocked in?
Sure. That all depends on how you're clocking them in. If you're using a button, just put some code in the button that says if there is already a StartTime, don't let them save another StartTime. If you want to use a BeforeUpdate event to check the value, you can do it there too. There's a million ways to do everything in Access. I cover some options in my TimeClock video: 599cd.com/TimeClock
Good tutorial. Though following all your steps, I end up with a "quadruple report", that meaning, when I run the query the result repeats it self. Even tho the Table only have 4 inputs. How or why do you think this happens? Possible solution?

How do you calculate the total delay time of 60 minutes in a day?
I don't understand your question please elaborate
Hi!Good video! Can you please guide me on what datatype to use for storing hours says 1500 h 45 min in an access table?
Are you saying you want to display a normal time in that format?
@@599CD Yes. Is there a means for storing durations in access without resorting to text data type or the confusing number format?
Hi great tutorials , but TotalMinutes: DateDiff("n",[TimeIn],[TimeOut]) keeps kicking out "invalid syntax"

Thank you, but the problem still exists. It's not 15.75 hours, but rather 16.15 hours.
Huh?
@@599CD My previous understanding was incorrect, but thanks to your assistance, my problem has been resolved.
