Crazy watching the “spray” coming from the drives when you were in the skinny part! Every move of the steering wheel could be seen! I absolutely love these boats!
Every boat has more than enough life vests for every passenger, correct size and fit. Some life jackets chosen are the inflatable ones that are hard to see. Even though every passenger is given a jacket, it is common for passengers to choose not to wear it and take it off... especially during the summer time and lower/warmer flows. Normally the captains of the boat do require the passengers to wear them if they feel the rapids are large enough or dangerous enough. Usually Spring run off. Hells Canyon Marine promotes safety and recommends everyone wears a life jacket while running whitewater, unfortunately we are not able to control what happens on these privately owned boats, or on the videos sent to us.

Interested in seeing the Canyon scenery and geology, not much of a hiker. Wonder whether it's best to go in spring or fall.
I would recommend May-June, or September
Thanks

@@HellsCanyonMarine Thanks for the info. Looks cool!
I am of the opinion of allowing people to become a product of their own stupidity.
