Beautiful shots of the birds and sunset. If you are heading North, you have to check out the jetboat rides up the Rouge River from Gold Beach. (we took Jerrys Rouge Jets) No kidding, one of my favorite trips in 12 yrs on the road. Be sure to buy the chicken lunch if its extra. Look forward to your next stop.
We think every vid should start with a shot of Paco. Brad hair is looking Sharp. The layers in the views are magical. The bird are amazing!!! Lou & Angie
Your videos always make me smile - this one the entire time! So there is hope to find campsites in CA...? When were you there, because it was empty. Your views and shots at the end were amazing!
I think we starting booking our CA sites about two months in advance. We really wanted to stick to State Parks as much as possible as we travel up the coast. In some places we could find 5 nights but usually more like 2-3 night stays. Since there’s really not boondocking over here we did have to plan ahead. We were able to get spots in some pretty great places but definitely didn’t get everything we were hoping for. It’s all good though! Here at Fremont it seemed there were always some open sites. some days were busier than others but it was mostly pretty quiet ☺️
The campfire is called Little Red Campfire by Camco. We picked ours up at Camping World but you can find it on Amazon. It’s a great size for the two of us and so nice and compact. We thought the hissing sound was kind of noisy as it burns but we found an easy hack that really helped. There’s a component we wrapped some painters tape around.
We live in the Sacramento area and have a TT slightly smaller than yours (~22' w/ tongue), but I've never pulled the trigger on this State Park because of A) nervous about the drive up, and B) unsure what sites we might fit in. Any advice or added info on the drive up and/or site number recommendations?
Honestly we didn’t know the road was so crazy.... I’m not sure that we’d go out of our way to do it again! That being said, with check in/check out times, you technically shouldn’t encounter other rigs on the road. It would be near impossible for two rigs to pass on that road. We were in the valley view campground, site 2. We just relied on the site length description on the reservation website but I will say the upper campground (oak something?) had some tighter turns. Hope that is helpful. It really was beautiful place, but a little white knuckle on the drive
Awesome video, thanks for taking us with you 🤙🏽🌺
Wonderful video guys! Paco is so cute :-)
Thank you! Paco brings us so much joy 😊

I loved the birds and that great shot of you guys silhouettes against the sunset! Another wonderful video. 😻
Thank you! 😍 I don’t think I quite captured how many woodpeckers there were, it was kind of amazing! Loved that sunset hike!
I loved the bird shots! And the sunset was wonderful. Thanks for another gorgeous video!
The birds were a real delight! And we’re so glad we ventured back up to the peak for sunset!

Sweet Paco. We do need to get him in front of the camera more 😃 Brad let me chop his hair, we’re glad it worked out 😆

Wanderland Travelers great to hear!
Looks like you guys had the park all to yourself. What propane burner do you have? I like the size of it.
