This song reminds me of the time Russia was not seen as a threat by the rest of Earth. Back when it really seemed Russia was in the process of opening up to the world, and it makes me sad to see just how much of a façade that was. This ｓｌｏｗｅｄ ＋ ｒｅｖｅｒｂ of the song describes how I feel, a bittersweet taste of a nostalgic past in which, although looking back seems foolish, it really felt like the world had just entered the biggest party of its history; and it felt like it wouldn't stop. For me, it feels ironic to feel this way, since I am neither Russian, nor am I an extrovert, and I was pretty young when this song first came out, but it nonetheless is how I feel. It's kind of like the people that feel nostalgic listening to 80's Japanese citypop even though they weren't even alive back then.
