If I were you, I would put a buzzer in the circuit. When there was a car in the middle of the road, it would horn by using that buzzer. It would be funny and more realistic

Raspberry pi couldn't control the motor sensitively so i made arduino to control both the motor part and ultrasonic senser which board are you using? I hope to help you more if you want:)

@@ansjaved3484 Yes as your comment center point is not necessarily a pixcel but it doesn't matter Becasue you just need center point value(even though it is decimal number) that will be put in the function of servo motor! At the same y axis value, you need to make a code(maybe loop will be great) that can find black picxel (you need to make two code for both side to find black points (left and right lane)) Do you need code for reference? What motor are you using? You can control your motor by pwm! Pwm value is different depending on model~ Plus i didn't connect arduino and pi Just i used pi for steering and arduino for motor control and sensing distance!

I’m using a arduino r3 , I want to use a ultrasonic sensor to operate a servo , and a bts7960 motor controller. For turning and throttle, something simple, obstacle avoidance.

The car is a normal Mercedes AMG GT3 RC car controlled by the arduino that receives signals from the raspberry pi and transmits sensor results to it

@@autonomousrc5731 for the motor i am using a stm32 nucleo board. I face long delays in image processing
I used Raspberry pi 4 with 4Gb ram
Maybe boards with low ram can cause lots of delays in image processing
I recommend you to use high ram board:)
And i used pi for lane detection and arduino for motor controlling to reduce loads on each board

Sure it is possible to keep lane just by detecting side lanes and finding center point of them
You can set the steering value with the center point:)
