The moment we think it's here is when it's far.

It is very close, and very far away, just like in the desert when Israel was about to enter the _promised land._ It was so close, just one more step. However, *Israel didn't listen to HKB'H,* and therefore they didn't reach it, but that generation died in the desert, never seeing it in that life.
To demystify this babble: The Rabbis (and everyone else) is right that "the time is now", but the Rabbis refuse to return to the Torah and tell Israel that they have been lying about the _prosbul_ and _heter iska._ Their neck is hard, and therefore the Redemption can probably (but, what do I know), _not happen._ Instead, the opposite will likely happen: the next phase of the curses, 7 times worse. However, I do believe at least that after the next round of punishment, probably the worst ever, the Redemption will have to happen, and in that sense, the Redemption is already casting its shadow (light?) unto the present day. The Redemption could happen _today,_ but Israel does not want to be _corrected._ They are morally lazy and also cowardly to stand for the obvious truth. The price will be extreme, sorry.
Remember that the Redemption is the victory of the good guys over the bad and dumb people, right ? It is not there for your average individual who only lives for themselves. Remember how many people had to die because of their failings during the exodus from Egypt. It seems to me that a lot of people who are incapable of living in peace are imagining to themselves that a global Empire with them on top is close at hand. This interpretation comes out of their own character, it is a gentile way of thinking. I hope it isn't true and everyone will suddenly start behaving amazingly well, no more gossip, no more greed, no more stupidity, generosity and hospitality all around, understanding, love and kindness and keeping the law like Moshe himself, but how likely is that ? They have to make that choice, but are they making that choice _today_ ? Is anyone ? So ... to be practical: do all that you can to be morallly much better than almost anyone you know, and maybe you can survive the next round of curses. Have a great day. Do not underestimate the severity of life, how bad it can get. This little war in Gaza is nothing yet, nothing.

@@josboersema1352 Difficult words. Maybe the "Lost" Ten Tribes of the Northern Kingdom will come to the rescue and keep the Torah. They certainly are awake and doing their best.
