- Really loved exploring this piece and really looking forward to hearing it at the actual Port when I get to Sumeru...Whenever that is. Fun Fun Fun music. I feel like I'm getting a musical education while listening to it.

I’m sorry I stopped right before the drop. I DIDNT KNOW.
This music played louder than the dialogue during the quest and people weren't even complaining.
I've not played Genshin Impact, but this music is gorgeous to listen to. Those lingering twangs are like sea salted butterscotch with vanilla ice cream. They have that savoury aspect while the background sweetness lifts up the depth to give a soft lilt which makes it so pleasant without it being overly rich. The drums (I don't know the name of the instruments used, forgive my ignorance!) prevent that sweetness from making it too sickly and a bit too immature. This is music I could easily listen to a lot, which is unusual for me.
I’ve never heard more perfect drop stop timing considering you hadn’t heard it
as a south asian, i literally stopped in my tracks when i heard the port ormos day theme. and while the day theme is lively and fun with the tabla, the night theme with the solo sitar just hits so deep. truly, all of the sumeru music is beautiful and does justice to the traditional music of my culture. i can't tell you how many times i've watched the symphony performance video. i love love love it.
"Everyone's asleep and you're awake" is the perfect description of the sentiment I had hearing the night version. It felt like I was intruding on the port's time to rest, and it really made me just put walk mode and progress through the port that way, the first time it came up.
"Every journey has it's final day don't rush" - Zhongli. so take your time and enjoy every bit.
I love how you literally have a jaw dropping reaction to when the beat drop. It almost looks like you regret pausing at that exact timing 😂
For me the night theme feels like the port is slowly breathing while resting and the fact that the melody remains the same between day and night makes me imagine a scenario where yes, everyone is sleeping, but at the same time no one is really really sleeping, the port is a center of commerce and opportunities as you said, so every night there's already the focus on the next day of work. But it's for sure that there are also movements and activities at night
Marco hasn’t been to Sumeru yet and he’s already finding little clues in the music that reveal the story.
Being an Indian when i entered port ormos it felt like I was back home after a long journey
I never actually knew that Hoyoverse could make such a masterpiece with Indian classical style music and it also excites me as being an Indian and watching them do something related to my country's culture on a whole different level is just hats off
I was in my Waveryder when I entered Port Ormos territory, I had to stop, and just listen to this.
Ah yes, the one sumeru track that everyone agrees slaps. I remember when I first got to port ormos I just was dumbfounded and stood there while the whole song played, before going “holy crap” really loud.
Sumeru's OST is a MASTERPIECE.
You are literally like a translator/tour guide for the Land Of Music of Teyvat, adding a whole another level to the game experience by your explanations. Amazing.
You should try Vimara Village's OST both Day and Night version. The music really gives the nostalgic vibes and the heartwarming feels of childhood innocence.
"I would assume it's a bustling metropolis that is full of merchants where you turn a corner and theres someone asking you to buy something."
I’m so happy that you listened to the Port Ormos themes!
A lot of my relatives are Hindu so I get invited to their events a lot, and those usually have live music. I can hear some of it in Port Ormos' themes.
