- Why we do Grow Bag Gardening & Cattle Drive Casserole
Cattle Drive Casserole
Ingredients
1 package Cheddar-Bay Biscuit mix (such as Red Lobster)
3/4 cup water
2 lb. ground beef
1 finely chopped onion
1 packet taco seasoning
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
8 oz. pepper Jack cheese, shredded (2 cups), divided
8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups), divided
1 can Ro-Tel
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 9- x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Stir together biscuit mix and seasoning packet with water in a medium bowl. Spread into baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven until just starting to turn golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
Cook beef in large skillet.
Add onion, stirring occasionally and breaking beef into small pieces, until beef is cooked through, and onions are starting to soften, about 3 more minutes. Drain.
Add Ro-Tel.
Add taco seasoning and 1/8 cup water and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
Stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, and salt & pepper in a medium bowl. Stir in 1 cup of the pepper Jack and 1 cup of the Cheddar.
Assemble casserole:
Spoon beef mixture evenly over par-cooked biscuit in baking pan.
Add cheese mixture:
Spoon mayonnaise mixture over beef and gently spread to cover.
Sprinkle evenly with remaining pepper Jack and Cheddar.
Bake until cheese is melted and starting to turn brown in spots, and mixture is bubbling around edges, about 30 minutes. - Навчання та стиль

As someone who lives in Ga too and a inexperienced gardener, I also container garden too. Makes it easy when we have rainy days for days on end so they dont get TOO MUCH water!

I planted a serono pepper plant some years ago and it grew like a bush since I can't eat hot spicy food I called it the burning bush the rest of the family loved them and even the neighbors it lasted the whole summer and fall it really was a bush just full of peppers love yall Sally

Garden looks great! You got this Fallon! Don't be scared to plant in the ground. Just peel back your black stuff till in some compost or even having chickens, you have a natural fertilizer right there.Have boys till it in and make sure you're feeding your dirt and your plants will be wonderful!
Those little seeds emerging from the dirt as little plants and then growing and producing food...God's design is simply amazing! Looking forward to seeing how you like those varieties of tomatoes! 😊

✍Hello Moss Family...I might just try a grow bag to grow some tomatoes. There's nothing tastes better than home grown tomatoes. Kitchen Shears that usually come with a knife set are made just for the kitchen ...but I guess when there's a need they use what they can find...ha ha ha My daughter bought a box of that biscuit mix but hasn't made them yet. She says they're delicious but I've never eaten them before so I'll have to take yours and hers word for them being delicious. Enjoyed you explaining the vegetables you're planting to us and Manley. That looks delicious, I wonder if I could use Bisquick as I have already done the groceries for the week but have everything else. The Coco Lopez comes in a squeeze bottle in my area so you can just use what you need. I also buy the sweetened condensed milk in the same bottle. Thanks for sharing every day!!!

We don’t have a big yard. So I have a couple raised beds throughout the yard, but triple my grow space using Greenstalk vertical planters. We had a 3 tier last year, grew all kinds of vegetables. So I got a 5 tier. That’s 30 garden spots. I have 4 more plants to get. Putting flowers on top for the pollinators. Grow bags & the vertical planters allow you to use good soil right off the bat. We do compost too which we use in our gardens. You have chicken coop clean out & leaves, that’ll make an amazing garden for next year if you decide to keep the garden where it is.

Yay I made the Cattle Drive Casserole the other night. 🤩 I made it with Bisquick on the bottom and it was good!
Yay the seeds! Be sure to pick up some fish fertilizer which you can find at Walmart in order to feed the plants in the grow bags especially but you can use it on the whole garden if you wish. Nutrients wash out of grow bags/containers so gotta give them food. 😉
Bet that cheese mixture would make for a great cheese dip.

Curious to see how the tomatoes do. I got Baker Creek’s “True Black Brandywine” & “Brownsugar” that I started inside, but late so they’re still small. I ordered them later. They ALL germinated….so I’m giving tomato plants away.😂

Love your channel! Here's a hint for tomatoes, put a banana peel in the hole when you plant. Works wonders. Also good for watering houseplants. Just put a peel in water, then use on plants.😊

How do you water your grow bags?
It's different for the different types of plants. They do need a little more watering than the ground because they drain water so well. 👍😁

Falon, when you plant your veg's and the roots are tight, loosen them a little when you plant. Kind of break the roots up, the plant does better. Cherokee purples look healthy! Good luck, anxious to see how you like. People say they taste like tomatoes used to taste.❤

Try some little potatoes in grow bags. Buy a bag of red or yellow potatoes, let the grow some eyes on them then plant them. They are very easy to harvest out of the grow bags
