Impressive, respect from NZ. I can never keep the shuffle groove going for the entire length of the song,. inevitably drop the ball after a few mins or so
Homie if you was in a band playing out every weekend and rehearsing once a week that groove would be unbreakable. For learning it for the sake of a video, brother that is as close as I could get it that's for sure. Of course I'm the kind of nut that would do takes in my home studio for two weeks until I got one perfect the whole way through. But I have what you might call an unhealthy obsession with getting stuff perfect for recordings no one is ever going to care about other than me.
Thanks Tony. Yeah, I’ve been working on this for a few weeks. That’s about as long as I’ll give a song until I move on. Agree with you though, if I played this regularly it would definitely smooth out. Thanks for listening.
That’s such a cool song to play! I’ve covered it on my channel on a couple of occasions! Nicely done 👍
Just excellent, David! I grew up listening to Toto from their beginning when I was a high school Junior.
Thanks for listening Tom. Great band and incredibly talented musicians.

Thanks Nicholas. Yeah, it's tough. I start feeling it right before the first chorus.
Awesome. You can tell how hard you worked to get this right! Switching grooves like that must be so hard! Well done!
Thanks for listening!
That shuffle hi hat tho. Impressive
Thanks Stuart. Yeah, it's a workout to play that in such a long song at that tempo.

@@DavidKDrumsI think it’s because you’re hitting way too hard on the first strike. The fills and the tempo are spot on though
@@einarabelc5 I’ve been working on more of a Moeller stroke for my half time shuffle. Gives it a different feel and more groove.
se queda en la mano derecha se cruza ! falta mas practica bien un 4 le doy
