What water to use? - use only distilled, purified or filtered water - do not use mineral, boiled or tap water (if you are lazy or busy to clean)
The English instructions say NOT to use distilled water. Only tap or mineral water. Since my water is filled with minerals I don’t see this humidifier lasting very long. I will update if it stops working and the details.

My original intention for this humidifier was to use it for plants that require high moisture levels. The increased humidity in my room made the room warmer and more comfortable. I had first ran the humidifier for 4 hours with the timer setting for it. After the first hour, I checked my room and can feel the difference. When the full 4 hours was up, I checked again and noticed that the humidifier was shut off as it is suppose to. The moisture level never seem to get passed 56/57%. I then let it run until all the water is used up, which it wasn't all used up. There are still some left in the base that you are not suppose to add water to. I filled up the water tank all the way again, being careful when removing it from the base. Some left over water may spill out. After putting it back on and setting the unit to auto, I let it operate. It didn't stop running, rather I don't know if it did at any point since I didn't check it regularly, for 24 hours after which the water in the tank ran out. The moisture reading never passed 56/57%, which may be a good thing for me. Being situated right next to my bed, the noise was not very noticeable with the occasional water gurgle from time to time as the unit ran.
How unfortunate CLOCKWORK. I would suggest use something like super glue. to support the top cover and the rubber gasket. Since we only need little force to apply vacuum.
I have had the same problem after using for 3 weeks. Now the gasket is loose and wont fit correctly.?? I tried to let sit out for a week now and it’s still loose. For me personally I noticed it got loose after the fact that I used an essential oil so maybe that had something to do with it.? Thank you for the information.!

Hi calypseee. You are right. There are other factors to check when encounter awful smell. 1. Water 2. Oils for fragrance 3. Contaminates container 4. Swab filter Need to check one by one Cleaning with soap normally solves the problem when replacing filter is done
@Calypseeee about the oil you mentioned, sorry I dont use oil. I like it plain like early morning dew or fog on the rain. There are a lot of oils online but better read reviews and consider soluble oils only Sorry if I cant help much on the oil thing

Hi, yes you can. I think that will do the trick to kill bacteria. Whats important is to clean your humidifier to avoid contamination. Its like stagnant water left for few days. Now this is a No No. That is why cleaning is important. May not be always but regularly.

Although I tried 1 month observing and position it close like infront of me with peripherals, monitor etc but so far no issue on this small humidifier. Having it said, I think it is not a good idea close to any electronic devices.

Technically, it is wise to use distilled water if you seldom clean the device. Mineral and tap water has natural substances that contaminates if left for long period of time causing bacteria, or bad odor smell. It doesn't mean you can't use mineral or tap water. Bro my spring is stuck inside and doesn’t come out and even if I use a pen or needle to try put it back into place it just doesn’t stay properly. The spring is literally deformed and it’s too tight for the spring to move freely, and smoke does not come out of it at all.
this is a humidifier and not an oil diffuser. I have made some inquiries and the designers do not recommend using oils. however many people still put in a few drops and say they don't have a problem.

Test the light, - once plugged in with powerbank or any power source, press and hold the button, check if light works 3. No mist - try to soak filter for longer time 5 mins If still doesnt work, I am afraid issue on the product Hope this helps

Normally one press activates the mist or spray. then if you press again it produce interval spray then last press to turn off. so lets say you press button once and wait for the mist then hold and press button for the light. you may also check the top circle if water is blocking

Happened to mine. Remove the top of the humidifier with the rubber gasket and let it dry. It will kinda go back to normal after.

The inside of mine kinda melted. It gets sticky after a while. Like sort of clay. I think this thing does not like alcohol based fragrances.

Bro my spring is stuck inside and doesn’t come out and even if I use a pen or needle to try put it back into place it just doesn’t stay properly. The spring is literally deformed and it’s too tight for the spring to move freely, and smoke does not come out of it at all.

Hi Helen, if top part is broken, you may need replacement or buy new one.
Buying new one is more cheaper I think than repairing and buy parts.

hello friend, the problem is, there are no essential oils soluble with water, i haven't found it, where do you buy your soluble oils?
this is a humidifier and not an oil diffuser. I have made some inquiries and the designers do not recommend using oils. however many people still put in a few drops and say they don't have a problem.

Hello Yans, from my experience if continuous spray and water level is like 250ml, it should last about 5 hours. If intermittent spray, 6 hours.

To be honest, when i wake up, the device was already turned off and when I lift, it is near empty.
My conclusion, yes it is possible that it may turn off due to no water for the mist because I was using powerbank and it still had 2 bars out of 4.

Hello Bovas, depends on your product. If it is super concentrated then 1 drop should be okay but for normal products 2 to 3 drops. You may always add drops if you find the smell lacking. 👍

No need to add soap or clean filter. just let it dry with cloth then wait.
Please take note that filter should be replace if you notice any unwanted smell or change of color.

Hello Doroteja, I am not quite sure about the product you bought but the logic is, if you use tap water, mineral water or any water that is not filtered or did not undergo any process to clean and separate natural minerals, your device will end up contamination due to its natural substances. But if you are cleaning or properly using the humidifier, then you are fine.

Hello Roisin, you may want to check the following:
1. Cable - try other cable sometimes this works
2. Test the light, - once plugged in with powerbank or any power source, press and hold the button, check if light works
3. No mist - try to soak filter for longer time 5 mins
If still doesnt work, I am afraid issue on the product

Normally one press activates the mist or spray.
then if you press again it produce interval spray then last press to turn off.
so lets say you press button once and wait for the mist then hold and press button for the light.
you may also check the top circle if water is blocking

Also Type of water being used is one factor. The way you clean the device is a must also.
From my experience, I used filter water or distilled or sometimes boiled water. Changed it like every 2 to 3 months. Using it like once or twice in a day.

Mine randomly turns off when I point it upwards and the humidifier sounds screechy at the same time and yes I tried different micro usb.
