That was crazy effing awesome! And, one of the most believable of these fiction stories I've seen. Not the standard "oh, we're able to do crazy stupid stuff just because we're deathworlders" line of schtick, but an honest idea that because we're not as highly evolved, not as highly specialized, and still more connected to our predator instincts, an ancient alien artifact could find us as suitable hosts for a symbiotic relationship with an ancient superweapon. Quite a neat and unique concept. Throw in the comical irreverence and this made an awesome story.👍👍

Ok, besides the great story this time around, it just so happen this is the 6th time I find "Sarah Chen" in a Sci Fi story, of course, with a different plot each time.
Where the story says “hash” it should be “number”. This is from the original meaning of the symbol “#” being “number” (#)2,345 or in some cases being “pound” as in 2.5# (two and one half pounds). It depends on the context the symbol is used in. (This insight brought to you by a 68y.o. that used a typewriter in high school and college before there were “hashtags”.)
