This video talks about the open Fronthaul Interface & the Fronthaul 7.2x Split Architecture. Hope this is beneficial to you all. Please, don't forget to LIKE the video and SUBSCRIBE to the channel.
I'm trying to understand the bandwidth requirements of the front-haul bandwidth vs. actual OTA bandwidth for a 7.2 split and the 7.1 overhead of carrying beamforming information over the front-haul. Is there a way of calculating IQ bandwidth vs. OTA bandwidth? Which modulation schemes are most prevalent particularly for small cells which may be deployed in a private industrial network? I'm also trying to understand timing requirements for the RU OTA interface and co-operation with other RU's and whether SyncE is implicit or whether it's just ptp plus local GNSS? I'm of the impression that 5ns RU sync is a requirement OTA but I'm happy to be corrected. I am bootstrappping myself regarding 5G and am interested in it from the OSI layer 1/2 perspective primarily. Any words of wisdom very much appreciated.
