- Gaziantep is a Turkish city mostly known for its delicious food and it is supposed to have the best cuisine in the whole of Turkey. Our goal this time is to head to this "Food capital" and taste some of the most traditional Turkish foods and see firsthand how they are made and if they really taste as good as rumors say...
We have been in Turkey for two months now, living the van life.

WHO WE ARE:
We are a van life couple Jo and Miina, quite new to UA-cam but really excited to be a part of this community. We are about living small and sustainable in our home on wheels. Freyja is a Merzedes Sprinter van that we have converted into a lovely tiny home on wheels. We love the diversity that our lifestyle brings and we want to take you along with us! The extra table was so shocking but what an amazing sight! After we left Gaziantep neither of us wanted to see any for for a whole day :D :)

the most common-known Turkish desert is Baklava that is Gazi antep is Famous for, then you go to G.Antep and you eat another famous desert which is actually famous from Hatay, Atakya. Actually I dont mind it cause Künefe is my favourite one, too
We did try baklava as well, but since we liked künefe more we decided to show it on the video. otherwise the video would have been 1h long if we had put all the foods in it :D
The Kunefe at the end, where did you guys eat? I will be in Gaziantep at the end of the month and you guys are making my mouth water!

In Antep you should eat baklava the best you could get in turkey but Künefe only in Hatay becouse it’s hometown of Künefe! 😁😁
We did try baklava as well, it was good, but we liked günefe more, that is why we put künefe in the video and not baklava, the video would have been too long otherwise 🤣
@@WildVikingTravels I'm telling my hometown in turkey is hatay (iskenderun) you should definitely visit over here too and künefe is the most delicious in hatay iskenderun u will be surprised. You'll forget the kunefe in gaziantep for sure 😂 I live in Netherlands, if I come to turkey hatay iskenderun it is for me 😁

Hey Margaret! Thankfully we did not eat all of that food in one day. We stayed in Gaziantep for several days and it was easier to put all the food in one video. We would be two beach balls if we ate all of it :D :)

@@zaitunchrysan3762 u can rent houses is very cheap in turkey like example i rented a villa in most known places in izmir cesme (alacati) VILLA WITH SWIMPOOL IN BACKYARD for 6000 TL for 1 week witch is 600 euro. And this is a villa so imagine, if u would rent a requal normal deluxe house for a week probably 100 euro witch is 1000 tl

Antep'in yüzlerce yemeği var. Sadece kebap değil. Tamam, itiraf ediyorum, arabanın bagajında mangalla geziyoruz ama zeytinyağlı da var, vegan yemekler de var. 😅

I am sure it would be even better when it's hot, but our bellys were just too ful from the main course. And it was still warm when we made it to Ahmeds place 😊

It's awesome that you have seen many of our videos! We don't have a washing machine in our vehicle which is why it is a lot easier for us to just keep wearing the same clothes until they are too dirty to do so. Nevertheless you seem to be in luck because that favorite shirt has been worn so many times that it is starting to break. Pease do be ready for another favorite though :)
