    Great adaption. And great part in showing some of the things from Victor Tanzig's series, I like how Engines that are alive are protected from being scrapped. And that part about Murdoch wanting to prove steam is superior rather than inferior, that's how I think too.

    To “The American 8F”,
    You have a great talent with writing and creating these awesome Thomas stories! The camera angles and the writing are up to the standard of some bigger creators like t1e2h3 and Victor Tanzing as so are the sets and trains. Seriously. My only criticisms are that the “bandicam” and “filmora” water marks are in the way but the way you told this tale makes it so immersive that you just forget that they are their. Lastly let me just say this, you are going to be a great content creator if you keep this up!

    I've especially wanted to mention that I personally love this video showing how Joey met Murdoch as Murdoch arrived, and especially when Joey learned that Murdoch's class of the B R class 9F basically was gonna be exactly the last type of steam-driven railway locomotive created by BR as done in 1960 with Evening Star as last of 251 Decapods built throughout entire period of exactly 6 years from 1954-1960 as a standard goods locomotive, and especially since it's basically obviously clear that all were obviously retired by 1968 as well as a total of exactly 9 of 'em have been preserved! Murdoch's class of the B R class 9F steam locomotives were built with a certain 2-10-0 wheel configuration, exactly 2 cylinders, a working boiler pressure of 250 PSI, a precise 5ft drive wheel diameter, and especially a spectacular 90 MPH top speed along with the fact that he was basically designed to haul gods trains, but his own official last type of B R steam-driven railway locomotives certainly would also apparently occasionally be put on the task of pulling passengers!

    I thouht i ought to point out that what you said about the gradient makes no sense. You said "the lickey incline is a 37.7 gradient but gordon's hill is a wapping 75 gradient". Firstly that is not how its said. The correct way to define a grandient is (for example) 1 in 50, meaning that over a distance of 50 metres the track has raised up by 1 metre. So techincally a grandient of "75" is a lot less steep than a 1 in 37.7.

    You said that Lickey is 1 in 37 & Gordon's Hill is 1 in 75 saying it's steeper. Actually you've got it the wrong way around, the lower the number means the steeper it is so technically the Lickey Incline makes Gordon's Hill look easy. 1 in 37 is much steeper than 1 in 75.
    One recommendation I advise on is buy an editing software like Sony Vegas as then you can get rid of that bloody watermark right across the centre. Sony Vegas is what I use for my videos.

      Iv been up Shap behind steam engines before and they certainly know how to put on a damn good show when climbing from Tebay to Shap Summit. With modern trains it's like the gradient doesn't exist. Iv never been up Lickey before, either behind a steam or modern traction so would be interesting to see how steam engines performed climbing the 1 in 37 gradient.

  • @tidmouthworks3d
    @tidmouthworks3d Рік тому +3

    It's a pretty good development sure, however there are some many problems that I'll have to point out on it
    Note: "this maybe on your take, but there are things in there that make 0% sense at all."
    1. the Standard 9F was never built in the LMS at all, they were only built in BR in 1954 to 1960 which Murdoch was the last of his class EVER built.
    2. regarding from him and that Joey fellow you say of Peter, they ain't cousins because of the simple fact that the 8F's were designed by Willam Stanier and built between 1935 to 1946 and the 9F's were designed by Robert Riddles, mean from what this is going to is that Murdoch and "Joey" were never cousins.
    3. It wouldn't make sense if Murdoch would arrive on Sodor before Diesel, he was on trial on the railway in 1957, and Murduch would have been in Sodor after he was preserved with one of the preserved loco's "Evening Star" with they couldn't keep since he was too expensive to keep in the museum with Evening Star herself and was bought by Sodor to be working there while in his orange livery.
    I can understand you may have a take on it I respect it, but one thing for sure is that you really need to do a whole lot of research when it comes to something like this and with constructive criticism, thank you for reading and if you did understand and have a good day.

    • @AdventureswithGeneral
      @AdventureswithGeneral Рік тому

      1. Ok.
      2. "Cousins" is a loosely used term here in the states.
      3. The LMS built class 08s back in the thirties. D199 was built in 62. Diesel the class 08 would have been on Sodor in the 40s or even early 50s- maybe in the 3OK. Also wth does Evening Star have to do with anything?
      Do YOUR own research ya flamin' big Jessie!!!

    • @tidmouthworks3d
      @tidmouthworks3d Рік тому

      Well, I mean to be far, neither of those diesels were built in the LMS, they were built in British Railways, and I'm I can assure you that if you look at the Thomas wiki it shows that Diesel was bult in 1956 and was sent on trial on Sodor in 1957, and what does D199 have to do with this conversation??
      Also, it Evening Star is literally 1 part of the reason of Murdoch's biography before he was purchased by Sodor mate, I do my own research with plenty of things that would always make sense again, I respect his own opinions and his thoughts etc, I'm just pointing out not only my opinions and thoughts but also a 2 words that plenty of people call "Constructive criticism" .

    • @AdventureswithGeneral
      @AdventureswithGeneral Рік тому

      @austendaheditor4368 I will give you that. I fail to remember sometimes that TTTE Fandom often maintains Awdry canon over real life- fair since trains don't have faces or talk in real life.
