Second, how do I remit payment for services rendered because Ashley coached tf out of me. I was answering the questions and having the lightbulb moments. Last thing… that comment about “comparison is really a way for us to ensure we don’t get rejected.” GIRL. This lit my brain up and hit so deep. Rejection is what I have run from since being the fat girl on the bus in high school. I tucked it under the rug and while I’ve considered how this has impacted me in my adulthood, until now I hadn’t made the connection to it and my fervent desire to not be rejected and this game I play with comparison and perfection. I’m going to keep watching this episode over and over the way you just broke that down helped me to have some understanding in my own business. Is this a strategy I should follow even as a hairstylist to get more clients in my chair? Would it be a good idea to do a “potential first time client” webinar just for those whose been thinking of coming can get an idea about who I am and what services I can provide?
It depends on how you get clients. You probably need a different strategy - content marketing, referrals etc. the strategy matters because anything can work, but what works best requires me to know more.
Timing is important but it sounds like you’re ready for when you “feel” it’s the right time versus the actual best time to act. Pray for discernment between the two! You got this! Most of the time I don’t “feel” it’s the best time but I move with urgency when the idea aligns with my greater mission. It’s an instinct. You can feel when it’s the right time.
