This video both made me happy and sad because Deinos are possibly my favorite dino in the game, and this video is both accurate and highly inaccurate. Like some have pointed out in the comments, this was done using the Single Player's "highest difficulty", which slashes everything about the bosses by 1/3rd if I recall. I tried this tactic on my own SP, and like the video shows, yes, they're absolutely beatable. But I wanted them to be capable of being them on Official. So I dug around and finally found a method in the game settings in order to push the difficulty up to Official Standard 5, and the bosses' Melee and HP scaled properly with comparison. On this level of difficulty, I barely survived with 2 Deinos left on Beta Monkey, and that was an inaccurate reading as my Yuty was ridiculously over HPed (250k I believe). So instead I focused on changing the stats of the Deinos. I discovered that 12-15 Deinos with HP of 4500 - 5200k, and 1200 melee were easily capable of downing the Beta Monkey (I'm using Beta Monkey as the example as its the first boss I personally want to fight since it unlocks exactly the Tek stuff I want) without barely taking any damage. No special saddles. No Yuty Courage for one run, and Yuty Courage on a second run. No imprinting. Their bleed caps out at 600 melee, but the additional melee absolutely contributes with their bite. The saddles were nothing special, as I actually couldn't figure out how to summon them with asc saddles, only primitive and ramshackle. The downside is because of their size, they were in the Beta's blindspot, and as a result, all minions and the boss were aimed at me. A friend helping me figure all of this out suggested bringing a rex along to act as 'bait' so the Yuty and you can be kept safe from attacks. So this method is absolutely doable, but it needs to be on a higher scale difficulty and it will definitely take a lot of effort to breeding the Deinos you need. I am currently doing this myself, and plan on posting a video on our Official Island server to demonstrate how everything went. So if you're like me and really want to throw rexes aside and use a fave dino, the Deino is a plausible opponent!
I would like to see you test this out and perhaps make a video on it- have you ever noticed that if you have a group of deinonychus and you ride the one with the highest level,you are able to "roar" with the deinos, the others will repeat the roar like wolves do....next you will see they got some kind of buff. I'm not sure what this does...I read once the alpha deino roared they all get 60% reduced dameged. Please try this, I would like to see what you think about this.
Did you use deinonychus because they are easily accessible to lower levels or because they’re the best dinos for the boss? Should we use rex’s or allo’s if we have them?

So most of my time in ark i have only done breeding and building because i didn't get courageous enough to do the bosses because i always think my dinos are not good enough for that, but after i saw this guide + many others i think i should at least give it a shot. I have 10 or 11 Rexes, with average HP 30k, and DMG 1500%, saddles are not that good but do you think i could solo all this with those 10 ?
I'm working on using deinos to take on the alpha... definitely need to mutate them unfortunately as the hp of the current batch is only 1.4k after imprint.. melee I cant remember offhand but i know its in the mid 300's. saddles I got lucky and found a master crafted 90armor BP(the reason why I'm setting off on this journey) but yeah definitely need to mutate the hp a fair amount... hoping for around 2.6k after imprint... still not even sure if it's even possible to do alpha with non boosted deinos... but hey, someone's gotta try...
So what do i do if i dont want to cheat and transfer or spawn daenonichus cause they are not native to the island like is there any similiar dino i can use i was think a thylac army
Thylas do not deal bleed damage to the bosses. Anything is possible. For the spider use Megatheriums. High level rexes can easily deal with the monkey. Unsure about the dragon
This is very interesting..... but I wonder how much more you can get out of them with better saddles/imprinted/mutations. Would it be possible to the alpha bosses?

How are you getting 225 Dienos? (much less the pig and yuti) Max spawn in SP is 150, since these come from eggs taming effectiveness does not help. I got lucky with some 150 and 145 Deino eggs, but of course they birth at or around 145-150. Mutations only add 2 levels (if you can get them) so 2x20 (max number of mutations) puts the Deino at level 190 max without editing files in the game. I'm only talking about using SP settings, and max difficulty slider. Did you level one up and clone it?
If you just mutate the male, you can stack as many mutations as you want to. As long as one of the parents has less than 20 mutations, you can continue mutating almost indefinetly. The only limitation is the hard-coded max stat level, as 😮n forexample stam and health. This limit is 255. You breed up a few perfect females, i usually go for 8-10. Then you start breeding the perfect male for mutations. When I say perfect I mean the dino you get after combining the best tamed stats into a dino. I usually also tame a very low level in order to breed in the very best stats in melee, stam, health and weight in some cases with the very low food, oxygen and movement speed from the very low level. Any tamed level in movement speed is a complete waste of levelpoints btw.

i personaly dont git why people whould say its unfair?, becase at the end of the day a kill is a kill but i donno thats my opinion ,i also havent faught any bosses before im planing on doing a all story ark run well im doing it really as we speak, but im haveing issues setting up my world settings im trying to make it so i dont git a crap tone of loot i think my player stats at 100 per point is fine but im trying to git my dinos to go up by 150 to 200 per point i have my tame speed at instent tame (becase i dont feel like waiting an hour or longer to tame something ) my mateing is boosted some what my matureation is faster for the same resion for tameing. i want te be able to die and for my dinos to be able to die but ajusting the dino stats is kinda hard when its not static across all dinos any tips?
You follow a guide on how to safely upload your character, you download Fjordur, you download your character into a new Fjordur run, get all the Deinonychus you want then when you think you are ready you repeat the process backward, taking the Deinos back to the island with your self.
not a lie. Deinos do bleed damage no all bosses. It is massively op. I know people who breed a few mutations into deinos then go in solo with one deino, stay under dragon's feet so he can't hit. Super easy. Also take wyvern's milk in. It reduces dragon's fire damage.
@@rockindrew7765 the wiki explain better, but u can transfer you, your dinos and itens to other maps in the same cluster, just go at a obelisk or drop, place your dinos in cryopods and click on the button "upload your character", then chose the server you want to go. It's a bit different (and harder) on singleplayer, so look for tips before doing this

Yes rexes and allos are best but deins do blood damage and latch on so they’re selective Dino’s

you could definitely do the megapithecus, maybe the broodmother, but i dont think you could beat the dragon with only 10

Trust me: 2 good megathrium, 1 good Yuti (probably need a teammate) but its the best and easiest to set Up... ;) for the Spider

For dragon use therizinos. They do not take fire damage from the breath attacke. You need very good stats

Wouldn’t this work similarly or better perhaps if you used animals that get a pack bonus instead of deinonychus’? Idk like dire wolves or ravagers?
That’s a fair point. Ravagers apply bleed as well.
I've seen it done with dire wolves but they had 12k hp.

yuty actually does nothing as bleed is % damage your better to go on the daedon in theory a lvl 1 deino does same damage as 225 with the slash
yuty gives damage reduction but for dragon its useless since dragons fire does % damage

How do you get the Deinonychus on The island? It is supposed that it only appears on Valguero and Fjordur.

You can transfer one over or even transfer an egg and raise it there. Works w any baby but make sure it’s good is on that map.
