That is a great car. I love the wheels, and the fact it isn't ruined with fake carbon shyte, just standard car with nice wheels and nice stance, perfect. Sleepers FTW. Love my M140i which is completely standard, apart from running 455bhp/634nm and nobody would know or guess.
So cool to see cars that we don't see here in the USA. For some reason our country is abscessed with SUV's and Pick Up Trucks, where cars like these??? Is all you really need. (Most of the time). Very nice ride, and very well done, without being too much BAM in your face. Props to the owner for not going too crazy 👍😎

I'm after a golf r estate, they are the ultimate under the radar fast car. I like this one but the one thing I'm not buying the car for is the sound. All VAGS running this engine sound pants. It's like grand tourismo classic on the Sunday cup.

Ns2 tyres are massively underrated tyres. Had a golf r mk6 cab fwd on f1 tyres. Wheelspan all over the place. Put some cheap nankangs on and the difference was unreal. Grip massively improved. They are really soft tyres so have a fairly short lifespan but the noise levels and grip is nothing to chuckle at.
Got same Estate in black, L380x made 437/399 at Unicorn Developments 🦄 I have a JB4 running as a pass through, so room for adjustment if I ever felt the need, I am upgrading the cat back to a scorpion 80mm to see if I can improve the spool up, from a standing start 😁 what front splitter is that, think I'm going to add the Maxton race splitter, and the boot spoiler 2 😉 Enjoy nice car 👍 Daz B

Your insurance usually asks if you have modified the car in any way. Some upgrades can slightly lower the price if they think they make the car safer, but usually any sort of power or exhaust upgrade makes your insurance more expensive. If you modify your car and don't tell your insurance, and then have to claim on your insurance, they usually will not pay out and might even cancel your policy
Why oh why do so many people buy these cheap number plates that make the car look 10 to 20 years old just to have maybe the initials as the last 3 letters.

I wasn't really paying attention much during the walkaround so had to watch it twice but personally Stage 3 / Stage 4 with hatchbacks etc is normally hybrid or big turbo replacement. However this is definitely a Stage 2 with extra hardware that makes it even safer like big brake, catch cans etc so I guess it's more like Stage 2.5 or Stage 2+ but Stage 3 works better for the title and desc I guess

@@jimmymccain4580 by no means is this turbo “cheap”. If you know anything about golf Rs you should know that you are risking blowing the standard turbo at over 400hp and at 500hp you are risking the entire engine. 430-460 is the sweet spot
No idea. Most people aren't even aware that the Golf R Estate exists, so automatically assume its a standard Estate with Golf R bumpers stuck on. It's better looking than the hatch imho, and rare too.
Buying an expensive turbo to run 437bhp at stage 3 basically means his car is gunna last a lot longer than your stage 2 417bhp whip that’s being ragged within an inch of its life

The IS38 stock turbo, which is used in these cars, is known to have some problems even with stock power levels. Depending of the year of manufacture, these stock IS38 turbos can go safely to somewhere between 350 to 380 horsepower with downpipe and intercooler changed and stage 2 mapping. When changing to Littco L380X, which this car has, you can make the car produce that 430-440 horsepower safely, without problems caused by stock turbo. You might have that 417hp (which I doubt you have) with your stage 2 setup, but that is nowhere near safe zone when using stock IS38 when it comes to boost pressures used. Be gentle to your car.
@@siirtolajoel literally nearly ever tuner goes somewhere between 400-420bhp. I was on stock turbo for alittle over 2 years running that power and driving the car hard every day haha. Id sooner buy another is38 every year or so for a cheap £400. Than spend daft money on a ‘stage 2 safe’ turbo to run similar power….
Had both an RS4 Avant and now a Golf R Estate. For overall day to day driving, the Golf wins hands down. No mega money common faults, way better on fuel, lower tax band, quicker point to point. 🤷♂️
Price for L380X (Supercore) is like 1k. Not too bad in my opinion, if you are running stage 2 setup already. You get that 430-440 hp safely without worries about the stock IS38 turbo.
Get yourself to specsavers son. There's nothing wrong with the Golf R Estate. It's the understated looks that make it a win in my book, and personally I find it better looking than the hatchback.
