California was more aggressive and their player could just dribble through everyone. Californians are big on soccer, and they take it very seriously, and I live in California where the only way you play soccer is with aggression. That’s why California colleges always win soccer cups and championships.
reid johnson Yeah, that’s true, California and Texas both have really aggressive teams. Louisiana actually does too, I’ve been to all three, Texas, Louisiana, and California, and all of their soccer teams play aggressive. I’d have to say California plays the most aggressive though because California is really big on soccer, and their Colleges such as Stanford, Cal Poly, USC, UCLA, San Luis Obispo, Cal Berkeley, And San Diego state (which all win the college soccer cup, mostly Stanford and UCLA) all want aggressive players, so Californian competitive soccer clubs train all their players to be aggressive so they can get into all of California’s colleges which all want physically aggressive players. That is also what my club I play for does. My team is trained to be aggressive, because we compete all over the Bay Area (where we live) with other aggressive teams. California soccer teams biggest rivals are other Californian teams.
Why You Mad I’m Just Another Russian I agree, here in Texas we also have to be aggressive, however, last year we were at the Albion’s Cup tournament in San Diego and we played against Legends FC and that team was crazy for us. I had never seen big and fast girls who were so aggressive at the same time. That team whooped our butts because we didn’t expect any other team to be more aggressive than ours and we got to see the true colors of California soccer throughout the whole tournament. We hope this year goes better for us when we go back lol
Can’t speak for California but growing up in Florida and playing for the Elite 8 of the State and making to nationals multiple times ODP is a joke. It’s all about who wants to spend the most money not about the level of play. All politics, you have coaches daughters making it on the team over the top scorer in the State. Now this was 5-6 years ago since I stopped playing club soccer so maybe times have changed but 6-0 is sad to see if you’re the elite players in the State.
As a person who does play on an ODP team I can agree. My states team happens to be be one of the better teams but many of my fellow teammates(including people on my actual club team) have admitted that they will not be trying out for the next season team because of those reasons.
