Moderna umetnost, generalno mi pomaze da shvatim i naucim i priznam da uopste nisam osoba za koju sam verovala da jesam. I sama sam veoma iznenadjena, prijatno u stvari.Hvala, gledam i slusam vasa predavanja jer mislim da smo na slicnim frekfrencijama.Veliki pozdrav.
Thank you so much for watching my channel and thank you for leaving a comment. Sorry it took me a couple days to respond. I got that nasty virus and I’ve been down and out for about 5 to 7 days which I never lay in bed for that long even after surgeries I’m up and moving, but this put me down so I do appreciate you stopping by and leaving me a comment it means so much to me
hi cheryl, another feisty necklace!. re paintings, love how your early layer which reminded me of whats called i believe 'brutalist architecture' was deliciously softened by your carefully chose and placed additions. u nailed it! best r
You are so welcome! They are relaxing to create as they have no stress, if I make one I do not like, I can use it in another piece ripped up!!! Enjoy YOUR personal journey Michelle.
Gorgeous work Cheryl. Thank you for sharing the process of this session. I do notice the minimalist style is popular. Organic shapes, muted colors and earthy tones. I’ve taken watercolor very serious over the past 10 yrs and now going off the rails with some semi abstract ideas. Loving it and taking all that knowledge that comes from trial and error, and just playing with new ideas. Thank you for sharing so much.
Minimalism i am finding has many faces. I am also finding I am working to put more of my personal style and "loves" into my work. The more I put my feelings into my work, the more I find I like my work. I hope that makes sense. I hope you journey is enjoyable!!
Wow, this was wonderful. Creating in this way is so much fun. It is like creativity and discovery at the same time. You can just feel when the placement of a piece is just right by the way it feels. Thank you! 🦋
Totally! You so got the video it is so right that when you place a piece down in a composition and it’s the right, look at the right fit, you just feel it and that’s why playing with paper pieces and different ways and playing with composition really helps you see when an abstract is working And understand when an abstract just is going the wrong way. I’m so glad that you are watching my videos. It means a lot to me and thank you for leaving a comment.
You are so welcome! I am happy you found me too. I try to mix up the videos to show painting, artist chats, sales info and more painting!!! I hope you stay and visit with me for awhile and become part of the tribe here!!
Thank you so so much Cheryl for sharing your amazing talent with us. I have no words to describe what changes your channel has bring to my life. May God Bless you abundantly to carry on with what you do and what changes you bring to people's lives. Loads of love 🙏💕👏😘
That truly means so much to me. My goal is to share what knowledge I have in my art journey so others can enjoy creating artist much as I do. Your your comment meant a lot to me.
Wow, great instructional video! These all turned out so amazing and beautiful! Pretty awesome. Also I love your necklace too! Thank you for looking into minimalism. During my Art History studies, back in the early 1900's cubism was the thing...later it tuned into more lines, squares and rectangles in the 1950's. I am excited to delve in too and explore this more. Thank you for waking me up! We get so caught up in the current trends and forget what drives exploration.
I am still looking into how the current calling of paintings "minimalism" works as history has this era those lines, and squares and not personal!!! I hope to keep learning!! I think perhaps it is more the minimal look of the art perhaps that causes people to call current art minimalism??
it makes my heart sing to hear you say your creative juices are flowing, that is so worth the time I put into these!!! I know there incredible paintings in you..... thank you for taking the time to comment and watch!!
Ich finde die Bilder mega, bin heute durch Zufall auf die Seite gekommen. Ich bin schon älteres Baujahr und schade dass man die Übersetzung nicht deutsch bekommt

There’s two ways you can tear your paper one way allows the white edging to show you tear it the other way it doesn’t show so I tear it both ways to allow a mixture of both looks in my art. I hope that answers your question. Let me know if it doesn’t.
To me, I always considered minimalism as regard to minimal differing shapes with minimal differing color. One of the great master women once joked "I'm not an ist anything, art is not to be labeled, I'm an is." I tend to agree. I was never impressed by an artist single style. If they could do 3 or more styles really well, that got my attention. Within 3days, I might start an impressionism land scape, realist portrait or landscape and an abstract or something in-between that I can't describe. After the initial start, I may work on only one for three days or 3 hrs. When I start feeling pinned down, I like to move quickly to a different style and then come back to it. I'm kind of old school and don't care to become dependent on a lot of different tools. Sometimes they remind me of that fella throwing his shoe at George Bush. I guess that would be art in a political sense. LOL I'm still intrigued with what can be done with a set of brushes and pallet knives. I appreciate their limitations to force me to become more creative instead of relying on happy accidents. But I also think I'm wrong. Artist should use whatever that works for them. I could see throwing a hand full of dirt at a wet oil painting for the final stroke. Thanks Cheryl
I recently learned more about minimalism and it is actually different from what many teach. I feel as creatives, versatility is all apart of the journey, right? Recently I have narrowed down my focus to allow more concentration on certain areas. Sorta an ebb and flow
Incredible!

One thing I noticed, being on a similar path, every move I make changes what I think the painting is asking for next.
It is like the painting starts to talk!!
