They couldn't see how a young girl who leads a Bible study and vows to wait for marriage to kiss, could possibly be the next cultural icon. Yeah. I'm really glad that.. people are sort of believing in God, if not decreasing their doubts of him, because of Moriah Peters. But it wasn't just that verse. Remember, God is calling us to be LIKE Jesus.. so really, he dind't save us, he saved us to be saved. The military is 100 times more free than the obedience you need with God. That's my theory as to why so many people aren't saved because.. they can't find freedom in the slavery of God. It's too convoluted to understand for some people. But when someone is actually made in God, then they actually understand it. Sort of weird, huh..
Where in civilization does a beautiful girl with morals and faith still exist! What a breath of fresh air! Every female in my family is getting your album for birthday gifts!

She is an absolutely beautiful and her music...I love her music! I am so glad that she didn't get picked by the AI show and that she chose to do Christian music and give her testimony thru her music. My daughter, which is 13, is a huge fan and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Beautiful testimony from a beautiful girl with a beautiful character.
This is why I do not bother with rap or hip hop or any of that other music because in today's music world looking trampy and doing what is not right is what they call "Sexy" when really and truly it is not. How can the judges just sit there and say that to Moriah? That shows they don't care how her faith was or respecting the choices she makes because they think she is trying to be "perfect" when really and truly she is not perfect. No one is. She chosed to be pure because she felt it was what God wanted her to do and she believed him and followed him. And I am so proud of her for that. Now look at how famous she is and she is a gospel singer and goes on tour and what not and has an amazing handsome husband! God has blessed this girls heart because some girls don't stick to what they believe they go out there and do the wrong to what they call the right thing. Good for you moriah!!! I love you and your work!!
I love her she's such a sweet girl ... she went to my church and I grew up with her ... I remember church camps and going hiking with her and my sister and our other girlfriend and we had do much fun so cool to see her success and her relationship with Christ impact so many people
I am so excited to discover this. I LOVE Moriah. I discovered her of course after becoming a fan for Joel & Luke. She has a stunning voice
this brought tears to my eyes. that's incredible that the door was opened so quickly. I was thinking yeah God what was the point of that? all those auditions for nothing? maybe there is a purpose....then she finds out right after the audition. incredible.
Even if God hadn't brought that man to her and gave her that connection with the record label, I still think there was purpose that came from auditioning. She was bold, she practiced her faith in front of people from Hollywood, she was a light, she showed the judges and the producers of that show and everyone else in her life that its okay to go against culture's norms. God gave her a platform and she was faithful with it. God still used her in those ways too even if she never signed with a record label after. But HOW COOL is God that that is what He blessed her with? He didn't have to - but He did. She was faithful with little, and He rewarded her with an even bigger platform to speak Truth.
@@_pandacecelya_ So true. The goodness of God is all around us and it surrounds us in ways we can never understand. Even when the answer is no we need to know that God still has a purpose and for us to be faithful in the midst of that

I'm in tears listening to you speak about God closing that door but opening up another. In tears but smiling because I know God closed a door for us because He has other plans for my husband and I. I trust God who brings us trials to grow our faith and I trust Him because He does not want to harm us for He says " _I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope._ " ~Jeremiah 29:11

Is wonderful to see how God's plans are always greater than ours, I'm glad to hear this story and see how it gives glory to God, I'll wait on the Lord and applaud my miracle!!!
This is not a huge story like the one above, but I still feel I need to share it. I am struggling financially but really wanted to attend the Climate March in Toronto on April 29th. As I was driving to the event, a girl tried to impatiently butt in with her car, and it was so rude of her, I would not let her in and mouthed to her No, No, I am not letting you in, wait and get behind me. Well, I felt bad for doing this, so said a prayer to Jesus to fill my heart with peace and compassion today. I found a parking spot, tried one my credit cards, even though I knew it was over limit, and rejected. So I took out a $20.00 bill to pay cash, but guess what, you cannot use a bill cash, it has to be coins! I had no coins so left this parking lot and went to another one, hoping there would be a man I can pay cash to. While driving around this lot looking for a spot, a girl comes up to my car and says "I have a ticket that is good until 4 pm if you want it". WOW! I said "that's great, thank you!" She had no idea how much I needed that today. I was so happy and thanked Jesus for this random act of kindness so to give back I picked up some litter I was seeing on my walk to Allen's Gardens to join the Climate March. I continued picking up more litter that day to pay back. It is amazing how fast God makes miracles happen.
p.s. at this 2nd parking lot there was no person to pay cash too, so this kind girl really helped me!
This comment is old. But boy are your words so true. God has stepped into my life to tell me something I thought I wanted was not for me. I have never felt more free now that I finally am listening .
This made my eyes teary, we should not be afraid to stay pure and holy and this world sees it as being weak or too good to be true but to God he sees us as his people :)

In the moments I've been going through a lot lately, THIS has just helped me. People always ask me why I don't go on American Idol or any of those shows and even learning that that's what they told you, it makes me truly know why God shut that door for me to even audition when I had gone to once. Thank you for this. :) God had me see it for a reason.
