Good morning Alex! Hello from Sydney, Australia! Loved this video! I have a Win 10 home workstation, and I was looking for exactly this! Just tested this out yesterday following your instruction and its working like a charm! I will sleep a little better at night knowing that even when I have to turn on RDP for my home lab, it's secured by an additional layer of protection! Whew!!!
This tutorial looks a bit different from the current product (it ALWAYS happens) but this is straightforward and much easier to follow than the docs from DUO. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for doing this tutorial. A couple of useful things to include would be how to help users with login issues. How to disable for that user or something. How to help them reset their duo or whatever problems one could run into. Planning on setting duo up for a small business next week, so thanks again for the awesome tutorial!
Thanks for the video. The information about "Adding a User" in Duo's online account is somewhat confusing. I am setting this up on my personal Windows 11 laptop so that it prompts me to validate via the DUO app on my phone that it is really me who is logging in.
You configure duo for RDP then how did it prompted you for MFA at initial login. Please explain for MacBook that are domain joined. How do you configure AD sync with Duo
Great video. I get some of it but after watching several times I'm still lost. I cant locate my Active Directory?? Im just trying to protect my personal PC. Duo support was no help.
Nice Video - do you have one where you apply this at the AD level though, not the local workstation level? When in a corporate environment - is the installation of the Duo client software a requirement on every single PC/server, etc required to make Duo MFA a thing? i.e. could I just add a new Windows 10 PC to the domain skip Duo client and BAM I have a way to access the domain without MFA?
Excellent tutorial! However, i tried to set up by myself with out having a remote desktop ...now i can not log in to my laptop as it has only one log in id that is my administrative log on id and it says"access not allowed because you are not enrolled to duo. contact to it help desk". I am relived that the entire set up is done correctly ...now how can i log in my laptop when i dont have rdp? Any suggestion is appreciated
Having just one login is not a problem. My setup is exactly this. 1. Create a Free Duo account - this will ask you to setup the admin duo account on your mobile/tablet. 2. Enroll a user - this is your Laptop login account, and invite using an email 3. Set up this user also on your mobile/tablet duo app - now your duo app should have both the admin and the enrolled user. 4. continue with the process of installing the rdp login protection and it will work.

Thanks Brad! I will take these notes and see what I can come up with. Appreciate the feedback.
Great stuff, but how do you allow local admin account to access for trouble shooting in the event there are domain issues?
Thanks for the video. One of my main clients still uses RSA and its just painful to administer. Duo is a god send.

Thank you Alexander. I now have an internet facing windows server with a 35 character password and DUO MFA.
Oh wow! That is a long password! Be sure to scan it for any vulnerabilities etc too if it's sitting out there on the internet.
Really interesting to see the process. Very good commentary. 👍

This question is important!

Do us a tutorial on the realization of PAM under windows server.
