Totally agree. It has been a massive problem ever since the game dropped. When I get rex and i see a trike im running away since rex is faster. I recommend going for a trike if its alone and your in a pack. Well, that's what im going to do. Earnt a new sub.
dude fr im anky but I dont kos cuz atp I feel bad for rexes its so hard for them get food I never see a rex actually hunting/eating herbis and most of the time its other herbis killing other herbis for rexes to eat I only fight as anky when they intiate
People arent kosing for no reason, they're kosing because they're bored. This is what happens when the entire herbivore playerbase is expected to just be content with the fact they're untouchable/and or stronger than their carnivore counterpart. Not only does this method of making people use herbivores usually isolate the herbivore players but it also just acts as more of a deterrent to not use the smaller more agile herbivores because theyre advertised as being nothing more than free food. Essentially, if this game wants to fix the problem that is kosing they have to make their game actually enjoyable in terms of gameplay and not hope that the person playing is just staring in awe at how beautiful the environment and dinosaurs are (because thats obvious where this game excels the most) and thats really where migration zone and temperature/seasons come in because this "mechanic" is supposed to encourage movement and as a byproduct player interaction. However, even with this mechanic being implemented I dont think that its actually going to do much (ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE FACT EACH SEASON TAKES 3 HOURS). There just needs to be more attention given to herbivores. They cant just be expected to sit around and be free food. The Idea of climate and seasons is a good one but really the main reason why people play this game is for the spectacles and player interactions. The game should work to provide more of these things as well as give more attention/uniqueness to each playable and give more of an incentive to play them rather than just progression. The main problem with herbivore gameplay is just that it feels aimless. I hope that in the recode they encourage nesting as well because the goal of a survival game shouldnt be just to survive but to help others survive too. You're really there for the benefit of your species and making nesting a core aspect of the game could offer another means of distraction and purpose rather than just walking around eating ferns 24/7
For the record I think climate and seasons and migration zones are great mechanics but they have to be much more frequent if they're actually being purposed to change anything.

Carnivores really don't KOS, especially in lowlands. It's a rare occasion to see a rex overhunting.

Adding migration zones/climate to the game would be amazing. WOULD make the game much more engaging and fun.
