Shi No Numa is my go-to “I wanna just have a chill game of shooting zombies” map. I’ve loved it since it first came out. Amazing memories on this beauty of a map.
Still my favorite,it will probably be forever. I love the atmosphere of it the Easter egg song was great and it was made during a time where zombies maps where actually made to be fun and chill
Emma Dreyfus when I first heard they where adding hell hounds I was like “oh that’s cool” and when I found out how hard they were to kill i was like “nope nope nope” I know they made them easier to kill as time went on lol
I feel like WaW was brushed over because whenever I would mentioned that I played these maps in school, my friends would be like "Best bit about black ops is the zombies". They'd never heard of WaW even though it was, personally, the best CoD. I remember completing the game, sitting through the credits for the history (love that stuff) and then just being stood in this grey room with bars infront of me and the painted outline of a K98 on the wall front left; I thought it was so cool at first killing zombies...but then headshots went from 1 bang to 2...to 3...Then they'd start to run and I panicked like a bitch.
Totally agreed with hellhounds. This was the first DLC zombies map I ever downloaded and I was terrified when I heard the hellhound round starting. I was playing split screen with my brother and we died immediately. I always hated hellhounds until BO2 or BO3 when I realized it's just an easy max ammo.
This was my favorite zombies map. I remember playing this on a particularly rainy day with the bois, spending hours "keeping one alive" so we could discover all the lore and easter eggs on the map
I had the best times on Shi No Numa. There was actually teamwork involved where 4 of us would defend the huts where ever the box moved. In today's maps, everyone just trains in a different place.
Shi No Numa will always hold a place in my heart. I’m part of that old gen of Call of Duty players, was 12 years old back in 2008 when this game came out. World at War was the first Call of Duty I got heavily into, I still play it to this day which is actually what brought me to this video. I remember how exciting it was to get a new map, and Shi No Numa was so different than all the others. Felt so big at the time. And I remember that chilling feeling I got from all the Easter eggs, especially seeing the meteor for the first time. Had me thinking aliens were involved for some reason, I loved it. I wish they’d take zombies to how this game made them. Now there’s all these dimensions and spirits and magical stuff. Like I said I remember in these days me n my friends were creating theories that it was aliens, that it was Nazi experiments, that it was Japanese scientists who made a plague. All kinds of stuff.. good times…
I've always saw this map as one of my, if not the most, favorite maps of all time. Not only is it a huge part of the storyline (115 meteor) but it was also the 1st time we saw the ultimis crew. An absolutely beautiful map with a great part of the story, I've always loved the swamp like feel of the map. All in all, I've never saw She No Numa as underrated. And it is, still to this day, one of my most favorite maps of all time. Great video Tim, and I'm glad that me and you have the same opinion about this masterpiece of a story infused map called She No Numa. (Edit): I also absolutely love the song, and I think it fits perfectly with the map. And I just love the atmosphere of the map, Trearch did a wonderful job with this map, easily one of the best maps they have ever created.
That map is fucking awesome. As said by a genuine black ops 1 player, who grew up playing kino but bought the moon pack mainly so I could play this map.
It's amazing to think about how terrified these players from 2008 must've felt when they saw the Hellhounds for the first time. Such an iconic piece of the Zombies mythos, which would've scared the shit out of the community back in the day. If all future maps kept their big, bad bosses a secret until launch that'd be perfect. Imagine playing Zetsubou No Shima for the first time and meeting the spiders. Or Origins and the Panzer Soldat. Shadows of Evil with the Margwa. Suspense seems to be a thing of the past now, and luckily Cold War looks to be bringing it back.
Yo Idk when I subbed to u but I’m happy I did ur vids are like the only zombie vids I watch nowadays since all the other be talkin about other games Hope your channel gets wayyyy more subs cuz u deserve that
here is how I would describe the Flogger "It spins around and fuccing rips em dry" if anyone doesnt get the reference it's from Borderline Disasters Nacht Der Untoten, Verukkt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese song
TxgaGD there use to be one where u lay down in the corner outside the com room I believe it was called... and a fast(running) zombie would slap you out of the map. Then u just swim your way to the little hill.
I think every zombies map is equally good and fun i enjoy playing every map they all have their fun traits and i just can't say anything bad about any map..
I remember watching old videos of this map from back in 2009 and I had nightmares about it for a good while; that's how you know when a zombies map is terrifying but then again I was 11 at the time so yeah. But over the years I started to love the map as I got older
Kino is my fav though I haven't touched it in years; I remember pack a punching my first weapon there and it was so hype. It was the mp5k which you get from the wall in the speed cola room
Nacht - The beginning of Zombies Verruckt - Power, perks, traps, moving box Shi No Numa - The great outdoors, another wonder weapon, training, and higher rounds. Randomized perks. Der Riese - Pack a punch baby ;)
Shi No Numa has always stood out to me when I have first seen it when I was real young since it was the only one that didn't have actual NAZI zombies but only ever played Natch and the waw version of der riese but once it remastered for black ops 1 I still remember the adrenaline I got from the anticipation of finally playing the OG maps, it also caught my attention with my personal favorate easter egg song.
To be honest, my favourite WaW map and zombies map of all time is Verruckt. I just love the chaos that happens on there, the close quarters and tight training areas on 4 player co-op.
I remember playing this map with my brother and it scared the life outta me. I loved it though. It always left me wondering when we were going to play again. It's just a spooky atmosphere, but that's what makes it great.
You misrepresented the original grand scheme. Tank Nikolai and takeo weren't "tagging along" to help richtofen switch bodies with Sam, but we're prisoners of war and forced to help. The threes understanding was that they were on a mission to stop the zombies and control the outbreaks at each location. They didn't realize that rich was bringing them to every location to get an item to complete his grand scheme (call of the dead and kino aside). They were simply immune to the effects of 115, or at least they didn't turn because of it. They weren't intent on putting rich in control. This is evident in a small way by the fact that tank is player one and the de facto leader, while rich is the sleeper player four.
Shi no numa and Der Ries are the ones which kicked off the easter eggs / story. It was so fun going around searching for these easter eggs, and seeing the meteor with the teddy bear outside the map just created so many theories and stories and had you hunting for more. I feel as we grow old and more complex maps came out, the nostalgia was lost and the story got stale. Moon and Ascension was incredible for the story but after it just got too much. Similar with most tv series/movies. Where the first couple are incredible but after that, instead of ending the story because they want more money. They just created more confusing shit just to keep it going. And they made it that you had to complete the easter eggs in order to progress in the maps. Creating videos and talking with friends at school about how and why nazi zombies exist was the best. I remember going home and trying to get out of map glitches just to see certain hidden easter eggs.
shi no numa also has the most underrated training spot ever, personally i think the area just outside the flogger headed to the fishing hut, that little patch of land is amazing to train above round 40.
Shi No Numa is in my top 10. Like, number 6. This is one of the most simple maps in zombies, yet one of the most genius maps too. It is the first map I rushed to when I got Zombies Chronicles for BO3.
in terms of atmosphere it's one of the best but I've never been fond as I can't stand random perks, the swamp slowing me and that I can't easily get to high rounds (I tend to play with friends so only one wunderwaffle)
I remember when I first heard the hellhounds and literally had to pause the game run to my uncle and be like “DUDE LOOK WTF IS THIS” I was genuinely scared as a 9 year old boy at 2 am in a dark basement with only my uncle across the room and behind a closed door away from me
Shi No Numa: I am sick of all you guys ganging up on me! You guys all think you're so much better than me! Der Riese: Oh, Shi No Numa, that is the least fancy thing I have ever heard. Verrückt: Nacht Der Untoten:
Imo, ascension is easily the most underrated zombies map of all time, it was always my personal favorite map, its NEVER given enough credit, especially with things like PHD flopper in Blops 1, as well as one of my personal favorite zombies " wonder weapon" (?) I actually never liked this map due to the complexity of it when i first played it i didnt last long enough to understand it and just always kinda forgot about it but this video has me trying it again
My favorite map ever! Black ops 3 mad it much better. But I am very disappointed they did not remaster more maps. Black ops 1, dead ops arcade, call of the dead, five. Then Black ops 2, buried, mob of the dead transit. No one will ever play ps3 maps anymore and I have all of them. And all I want is to bring them to ps4 so they can live again. Black ops one had all the in game challenges for call of the dead Shanghai and moon and now you can't do that
This map was never the favorite of the origional WAW zombie maps. Kino Der toten was a surprise to me and my friends when we beat the game, and it took way too long for us to realize you could leave the starting room. While Shi No Numa was a good map, but fell between the cracks. It was not the first expansion, and didn't have as many extra features as the last DLC.

Same
Still my favorite,it will probably be forever. I love the atmosphere of it the Easter egg song was great and it was made during a time where zombies maps where actually made to be fun and chill
Not so chill for the guy hanging on the ceiling R.I.P
Chill? Is terrifaying
All of World at War's zombies maps are mostly like that (except Verruckt)
Hearing “FETCH ME THEIR SOULS” for the first time not knowing you were about to be bombarded by hellhounds must’ve been horrifying for some players
I heard "time for the dogs" or something like that. I kinda got the idea after that
Nope Nope I can see why you would hear that.
Emma Dreyfus when I first heard they where adding hell hounds I was like “oh that’s cool” and when I found out how hard they were to kill i was like “nope nope nope” I know they made them easier to kill as time went on lol
Bahamakazi yeah, hence why it’s horrifying
Emma Dreyfus my father and I used to play a lot and make it far, we got back into playing it and we suck 😂 can’t make it past round 4 now
6:17
Only True OG zombies players remember the original Hellhound intro theme.
But it was in waw b01 b02 all of the maps that had hell hounds at least
Alejandro Sanchez u should listen to the PS3 version it’s way more scary they added a howl
That's what I'm talking about, also is it exclusive to the ps3 version of waw?
Alejandro Sanchez yes it’s so weird how 360 or pc don’t have it

The boys coming over, 4 player split screen looking for your square, everyone picks a window, food, trash talking, and good times
