Hi antCGi, I just have a question : Would I be able to create facial animations of my realistic character for AAA game cinematics, by following these seemingly awesome tutos ?
Hi, I would like know if you could help me with a information. My component editor is not showing the targets from blendshape when I try to edit. It shows only the BS column as you showed on the video. I need to edit some specific targets. Thanks
Which one I should prefer? The individual tutorials of rig with joint setup and another one with blendshapes or this series? @antCGi I actually don't know the detailed content of this series.
Minhaj Khan your absolutely right! This tutorial was originally created back in 2016 and I think the shape editor came out after that...I should maybe do an updated video at some point 😁
If the body is not separated to the head, do I need to separate them first? If so, how do I make them stick together so that there is no gap between the neck and the body when I turn the head for example? Thanks
Its more efficient if you separate the body from the head, but it depends on what your doing. If its for a game its worth doing certainly. WHat I do is duplicate the model, seperate the head and then bind them back to the skeleton. You can then copy the weights across from the original model.
@@antCGi Thank you sir. By the way, I recently sent you a message on your facebook account because I have some rig problem on my project. Please check it if you have time. Thank you.
Hi, if I’m thinking of the same ones they are just annotations. You can add these in Maya - download.autodesk.com/global/docs/maya2014/en_us/index.html?url=files/Create__Annotation.htm,topicNumber=d30e59140
To actually make the face work on a complete character, not just a head, would you still make all these separate heads and sculpt them into the required expressions?
Hi, do you sell or are the assets for this tutorial for Download anywhere, I´ve checked the 3 links in the bottom of the description only the assents for the other 2 tutorials and I dont think I have a ready enough character to try this out?

Hello, i have a doubt. are blend shapes funcional in game engines?

do you make your blendshapes in zbrush?

Hi! My #RiggingInMaya series is newer and has more information.
Hello! Great tutorial! any way to get the control interface? do you provide it anywhere? Thanks :D

Good stuff, but wouldn't Maya's Shape Editor make creating blendshapes a lot more efficient?

@@antCGi Oh, I see. Thanks anyway!! Besides the technique used for making blendshapes, all of this info is still relevant and absolutely invaluable :)
@@minhaj_khan Thanks, that's nice of you to say :)

Actually I did send the message to your personal facebook account with your name not the actual Ant Cgi Ltd one.
@@imagenia8016 Ok, I only reply to the antCGi messages, I never check the personal ones.

thank you very much
Hi @antCGi where can i buy this complete course?
You can download the assets here - www.antcgi.com/antcgi-club
I Downloaded a model from Internet. That does not have teeth so how to rig it for talking animation????
How did you make those texts in the facial GUI controllers?

You would, but ideally the head would still be a separate model.
@@antCGi Thank you so much for your reply it is very much appreciated.
if i go along with this tutorial will i get the same result on my own character ?
Kamel Istanbuli you should 👍

They are available to club members now - www.antcgi.com/antcgi-club
should we rigging face or body first?
I’d say the body first, because the face has to follow the head which follows the body.
@@antCGi tq it help me alot
Hey! Do you have the missing parts of this video on your patreon?
Which missing parts?
@@antCGi where you create the locators and makes more blend shapes :)
Please make a tut on wrinkles
zbrush
How you did those blend shape expressions? Can you explain that?
I’m actually working on a new video which demonstrates this 👍
Why I can't import the tga file?
SO LOGİCALLY MEAN. thnx
does multiple blend shapes make the rig heavy........??
r3x I’ve not noticed any issues so far 😁
@@antCGi ohk thanks mate :)
Please , I hope you create face rigging in 3dmax tutoral

skipped a lot of points that beginners would really like to have seen like how u actually got the controls and how you create the actual shapes
I cover all these in my more recent #RiggingInMaya videos, and in much more detail.
"sometimes maya do that" are you sure sometimes is the propriate word? More like pretty much all the damn time.
