Well, I nearly stopped watching this video due to the modern sensationalist media format and far too many "shocked people's heads". When you finally started paying more attention to the fish than the price and the forced "reactions", it was finally worth watching, and I'm glad I persisted.
In the hobbyist world they call them breeds versus species. They all fall under the same name scientifically so scientifically speaking I would agree that they are all variants of the same.
Imagine a fantail betta descendant with any of the lare tail types in the future, something like a Dumbo with any type of large tail such like Rose pettal fantail or Corona Fantail, they would look more than sick in any color variety, it doesn't matter if is like the Kachen Worachai, Golden, green or any other like a purple one. Althought more astonishing would be to see a giant betta with any of this mixture betwixt fantail and a large tail. It would look like a betta with the tail of a fantail goldfish, so sick. But as they said it's a mutation that it's still in process to be more common, but we know that betta breeders across the world even thought there are already the fish type they want to achieve with other breeders, they like the hard way of acomplishing it by themselves. So maybe once couples of fantail bettas come out as something more common or female ones with fantail mutation, it would be way around that breeders start to do all the experimentation breeding the female with different stallions they have and also to start seeing the giant betta breeders to try to pass it betwixt transitions of the male of normal size into a female giant betta, it would be something that is concerning but not imposible, as far as we know Golden bettas were something in the past that no one would have imagined or something like a bright green lemon looking tetra, neon green and I dont know in the future see something like an electric cyan blue, with purple details and neon green details. But as long as I have seen, green bettas that aren't in that palette of dark greens, turqoise, cyan or metallic greens are the most. But gold is gorgeous looking to see. Maybe there are breeders trying to do that mixing green and yellow/gold bettas, but who else knows. The key to all this stuff with breeding and genetics is to see the full grown adults, and of course the fish we see are not the same as the wild ones in nature, but it could sound crazy if there is someday something like the flowerhorn, but with bettas (which indeed it is as the tail types, colors and fins are something the fancy, wavy and colorful ornamental bettas might lack in terms of survivabilty for their predators on the wild.
@@AquariumStoreDepot looking at pictures I can confirm I had it I got him very cheap since the store was closing and they wanted to get rid of fish as fast as possible
In my opinion, for decoration at home, it is rose white platinum type, because it is very nice to look at, especially if the aquarium is designed very well so it adds to the beauty of the fish
Wow, this video blew my mind! 🤯 The content is so informative and engaging. I can't believe how much I've learned in just a few minutes. Thanks for sharing this amazing content with us! 👏👏
This vedio is extremely important , the best vedio i've seen about this topic for sure, i learned a lot of after watching this vedio, thanks for sharing like this vedio, keep it up!
According to the video, there mentions that the "Rose White Platinum Dragon" Betta amazed the most due to its enormous scales with a metallic shine and unique white color combined with the dragon scale characteristic. And also this video paints a vivid picture of these magnificent fish, emphasizing their "fantastic features" and mesmerizing color patterns. Each Betta breed is showcased like a priceless piece of art, from the fanciful fan tail with its rare genetic mutation to the breathtaking wild Betta with its natural beauty.
I have 2 half moon Plakat bettas. Their just the sweetest things. One is in what I have left of a community tank. When my other fish were getting sluggish and not doing so well he would swim over to them and sometimes even tap them with his head gently. Thanks for sharing.
Of course ^_^. My next aquarium is going to feature a HMPK. They are my favorite. Aggressive little buggers sometimes, but I'll sort out the right tankmates for them :).
That was amazing list of Expensive Betta Fish, These Betta Fish had Unique and Colorful style pattern, Thank you for sharing about this, hope to see more💎💎
Waoo I never imagined that a fish would be worth so much seriously they are a luxury to have them for an aquarium very good video friend without a doubt you bring interesting things
Of all the fish, Bettas are my favorite, because of their beauty and because they require simple care. I love seeing all the varieties there are, but without a doubt the Half Moon Plakat is spectacular, it is my favorite of all those presented in the video
I remember as a child I used to buy a kind of betta fish, we used to call it a hickey but the price was very cheap, but the one you mentioned in the video is much different from the one I had, of course the more beautiful the price is more expensive.
Ya those were the days. Online fish stores really brought out the designer bettas the fold. Those used to be only seen at trade shows and sometimes specialty fish stores. Now anyone can jump online and get HMPK designer bettas and drop $70+ on a unique breed 😅. I’m a personal victim of that - I was used to spending a lot on saltwater fish when I moved over to freshwater 😄.
@@AquariumStoreDepot I’m very tempted to get something we wouldn’t normally find in stores but that requires me to start a new tank since both of mines already has a betta inside. Only thing that’s stopping me is the thought of maintaining an extra tank. Already have everything I need for a 10 gallon since it was a tank I used before upgrading. One of my betta is a Tangerine Koi. Had no idea he was capable of changing colors til after I got him. Really fascinating to see though it scared me a bit, from the start, thinking he was going to turn completely blue like my other one 😅 which betta were you able to get?
@@robyd hi there. I’m not a fan of someone owning multiple tanks as it can be disruptive to other parts of life taking care of so much. I’d much rather hav someone upgrade their tank instead. A controversial thing is actually putting more than one betta in a tank without dividers - and it’s actually possible if you have a tank longer than 2 feet. A 4 foot long tank can house 2 male bettas. I’ve seen it plently of times and documented the cases in a recent blog post I made (I’ll make a video on it soon). Oh I got a simple plakat at the time. But the lady I was dating at the time accidentally killed it during a water change when she forgot to dechlorinate the water 😭. Now I’m debating either going with another in a small tank or just going back to a bigger tank and getting Africans. I have naturally hard water here, so Africans make a lot of sense since I wouldnt have to treat the water 😊.
@@AquariumStoreDepot Nice. I remember getting a plakat before, thinking it was a female. Would love to see that video of multiple bettas. I have to move in 8 months or a year. Will definitely upgrade if I can get a place with a bigger room. Maintaining 2 tanks is my sweet spot. Super tempted to upgrade but it’s better to wait til I actually move.
Great vid. I had a Red Beta from my wedding (they were the center pieces for the tables) live for just over 4 years and it was in a bowl, but we cleaned it weekly and used freshly filtered water and added all the essential minerals and fed him flakes, pellets and brine. He was really affectionate! He had a No Fishing sign in his bowl and the top was juuuust under the surface and when we'd walk by he'd lay don on it so we could give him belly and Sid rubs. he was like a teeny tiny aquatic dog! We were heartbroken when he died and we've never gotten another one. I may get another one soon.
If you get another one please have a 3-5 gallon tank for it, you fish may survive in a small bowl but that doesn't mean it was happy and thriving. If you want the best life for your next betta, please get a 3-5g or larger for it to thrive.

Wow, I had no idea Betta fish could be so pricey! Nature never fails to amaze with its diversity and beauty.
Right?!
Interesting video of various Betta S. But these are all ONE breed, not different breeds.
In the hobbyist world they call them breeds versus species. They all fall under the same name scientifically so scientifically speaking I would agree that they are all variants of the same.
In india some of the beta are more then 1.529 dollar

Selective breeding 😆
I’ve got a purple veil tail. It has some red, but minimal. Hadn’t realised how I’d lucked out with him, wish I had the space to breed 😅
wowww that purple betta is so stunning.

This fish aquarium video is one of the best important & helpful video. We need more this type video. Thank you
Wait you are telling me I got a one of those purple bettas for just $3🗿
True purple bettas would be the most expensive ones. Purples are really a variation of lavender or pink which many of us are totally fine with
