      Hi. You mean ours not extracting or when you press the trigger no water comes out?

    the vac motor was bigger because you removed a two stage vac and replaced it with a tree stage one

      3 rings on the gray body shows it is a 3 stage unit. Good upgrade!

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 роки тому

    Great videos concerning the Mytee Lite, Phil. Thank you so much. I follow your videos, and I too share a small detailing business like you.
    I wanted to tell you that in any case you find you are without a gasket, but want to temporarily see if your problem is fixed, you can simply recreate any gasket like the one you needed by cutting it out in cardboard, or like that plastic you’d find used in say, political yard signs…that make sense?
    I’ve had my Mytee for 3 years. My pump is bad. My switches are rusted. My wires inside recently smelled like they’d gotten hot, and I’ll
    Tell ya, this is the one piece of equipment I routinely do cleanings on, and preventive maintenance.
    While I love its functionality, it longevity has been rather disappointing for what I paid for it. But not every specific piece of machinery lives the life we want it, while others do great, like my Prolux Garage Vac.
    Go figure.
    Thanks for sharing all you do.

    Where did you find this model of Mytee? Can't seem to find it on their website

    • @MirandaDetailing

      Hi, I bought it back in 2009, it’s the older Myteelite II 8070. They since upgraded to the new model.

      @@MirandaDetailing :( too bad because this model was easy to carry up the stairs. Newer models does not have handlers.

      @MirandaDetailing  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah I agree. I like the smaller version I have. The new 8070 is a little bulky.

    MyteeLite needs to pay you a commission. That was some great advertising for them. Well done on the repair! Looks like a good solid machine!

    Tough to tell... But was the power cord fraying near where it enters the machine?

    I’m back lol. It’s time to upgrade my vac. I’m pretty sure I have the same mighty 8070 lite. The new model has the drain port which ours doesn’t. It looks like the new vacuum has a name of C302A 3-Stage HP Vacuum Motor the one you linked is off Amazon and I found the hp on the mytee site.

      Did you ever make the upgrade to 3 stage Brendan? I heard its not good for the inside wiring because of higher amp draw that the 3 stage requires.

    Great jib. I'd shorten the power cord enough to get rid of the patch you have on it. I believe you upgraded from a 2 stage to a 3 stage vac. That's why the vac is an inch thicker.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  5 років тому +1

      Thanks. Yeah the cord at the base of the machine is just frayed from use. I’m going to fix that soon. Yes it is a 3-stage vac! I didn’t even realize it. It’s the same model number and the only one I could find. Well it’s more powerful now!! Thanks for sharing!

    You had a 2 stage vacuum motor before but you got a 3 stage. I think you got the 3 stage LA.

    Phil Thanks for this video I have an original MYTEE S300 TEMPO no heat, several years ago I left in garage must of still had water in line, I believe the pump my be damaged. I still have suction but can't inject water. So now I may try to replace pump myself DIY style, lol looks as if it may be a shur flo pump (yours). Think I may have bought from AUTOGEEK....BUT MY UNIT IS LIKE THIS ONE IN LINK: socalwaxshop.com/tools-equipment/extractors/mytee-s300-tempo-spotter-carpet-extractor/

    Miranda how is it holding up since you did this install? I heard its not good for the inside wiring because of higher amp draw that the 3 stage requires.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Its running great with no problems! I guess if people are worried about the wiring they can just rewire it with heavy gauge wire, I think it would be pretty simple.
