Great video, Marty. Orange is one of my favorite colors. You showed it's ok to have multiple oranges on your palette because of the depth you can create with them. I'll need to try out these sketches in my sketchbook. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍🏻
I didn't know much about different types of paper and how they 'behaved' so this video was enlightening. Thanks for that..and I loved all those 'happy trees.' Bob Ross would be proud lolx
So nice to see you back here. Lovely trees. Great tonsee how the different values can create contrast and volume. I have only a few oranges, but I am lucky to still have some tubes of the original DS PO49 Quin gold which I treasure. I use mix mostly. That would be another interesting video idea: mixes with orange. I make greys (with blues), fantastic olive colours with some greens, and coral hues with reds and yellos. I would live tonsee what you get up to when mixing with orange.
Oh my gosh, Marty! I was just fighting with some Daniel Smith Perinone Orange last night. Don’t even ask 😅 I loved seeing all the oranges you swatched here, especially when you used them on your BEAUTIFUL trees. I truly enjoyed this video, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful gift with us. All the best from the minus 18 deep freeze (that’s 0 degrees F) that is Ontario 🇨🇦❤️✨ PS I just became your 600th follower on IG 👏👏
Thank you so much for the IG follow, much appreciated. Love Ontario - HUGE province. Rode across the Canadian Shield a few years ago on Motorcycle and loved stopping at all the awesome places around Lake Superior. Wawa was cool, the Terry Fox memorial. So many friendly and nice Canadians. Minnesota is the other Canadian Province as we love hockey and are always apologizing. 🙂
orange is a color I rarely use , but I do like it to add a " pop" of color every so often.. I usually find myself mixing it with other colors to tone it down .. Your trees look so sweet !! thanks , Marty .. Norakag 👍👍
Those are some pretty oranges. I really like your trees. Funny thing is, I don't really care fore orange that much and if there is a way around using it, that's what I tend to do.
Hey thanks for kind remarks. I don't always swatch, sometimes I go right to painting, but other folks seem to like swatches and I don't mind doing them. Hope you have an awesome day!
I have PO48 or Quinacridone Rust from M Graham on my palette....it is my favourite orangey colour. Golden Barok Red from Old Holland is a very interesting colour, with PO65. I believe it is the only company that offers paint made with that pigment.
A transparent orange is so great for mixing with blues. I especially liked the tree you drew with pencil first-nice bones and rich color. From another Minnesotan!
I have sensitivity to paints that's seemed to develop over time. My hands get scratchy and red. Plus it keeps me from smudging my paintings and drawings.

Hey thanks Pete. I think for me the pallet is a seasonal thing. I have more oranges and browns and ochres in the autumn.
Trees are great. The oranges are so pretty. Thank you for the video.
🙏☺
You had me at orange. 🧡
🙂
While orange isn’t my favorite go too those are so cozy and warm feeling!! A great study if I do say so.
Awww, thank you very much.
Great to see you doing videos again!
☺
Thanks for a useful and cheerful video. I look forward to more of your thoughtful content.
Thank you so much.
Best color ever!
Lots of love for the orange.
I think I will be using oranges more! Thanks for the video Marty! (Wet and warm in Wisconsin, too!)

Thank you my friend.
Beautiful. I love your channel and your style.
Awwww thank you Deanna. Very kind of you.

I don't have a Quin gold, but now I need one. :-)
@@owingsart Hurry to get a tube from Rembrandt with genuine PO48, which is soon to be discontinued. You won't regret it.
Wow Marty it’s been a hot minute, great to see your doing well!!! 😊
Hey you! Good to hear from ya! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Things are still holding together@@owingsart , stay safe and warm 🥰‼️

I love that DS Burnt Orange. WN Transparent Orange is one of my favorites. Your happy little trees brightened my day.
Awww thanks. I should try out the WN Transparent.
Orange is my least favorite watercolor but your trees make them desirable!
Thank you so much.
Let's go play in those watercolor leaves! Nicely done Marty.
Paintwork Orange😂 The trees are lovely. Thanks for highlighting orange.
Ha! You got it. If you're the only one who picked that up, I'd still be happy. 🙂
Always a treat to watch you paint! I have missed it. ❤
Thank you Carolsue. Very nice.
Now have to add Quin Burnt Orange-it's stunning. Your trees are always a happy delight,
Get it while you can. The pigment it's made of, PO48, was discontinued.
Oh now I have to try that one too. 🙂

Highly recommended. Rembrandt has a genuine PO48 colour still, Quinacridone Orange. They even offer it in 20ml tubes. @@owingsart

You never know what it would do to your work until you try it I suppose. 🙂
😂😂😂 great title. Thank you for this upload. I need to refill/restock on orange so this was really helpful
🙂

It's not everyone's fave, but it's kinda nice in the fall.
Great video. Marty! Cool to see the texture differences
Hi Jared - Thanks man. Hope you are doing great.
very fun video, have several of those in my own palette.
These are beautiful. Get 'em framed up and ready for sale!
Ha! Maybe if they survive my spring fire. ;-)
Your swatching videos are so unique and not boring ( I avoid most swatching videos). Love the closeups and the commentary

I love orange 🧡 the trees came out beautifully 👍🏾

Hi There fellow Minnesotan! I'll have to try that. Thanks for watching and for the nice comment on the tree.
Like clockwork, your videos pop up to delight me every time. 😉 Orange is so highly underrated. TFS 🙏
So kind. :-)
Just curious why you wear gloves?

Really lovely Marty!
