We are back with 15th episode of Switzerland tourism video. This time we are covering the another stunning & scenic train journey in Switzerland , which is Goldenpass route with Swiss travel pass.

We started our journey from Lucerne in the morning. We took Lucerne Interlaken express train which runs through scenic train route Goldenpass Switzerland.
Lucerne to Interlaken section is most scenic section of Goldenpass route.
it goes near the mount Pilatus, Mount Switzerland shortly after Lucerne. then it goes via the shores of lake Sarnen. In No time train goes through beautiful lake Lungern. It is very beautiful lake.
then we got down in the town of Brienz which is on the eastern shore of Lake Brienz. Lake Brienz Switzerland is one of the most beautiful lake in bernese Oberland region in Switzerland.

Reservation is optional, we didn't reserve seat when we visited last year in July. There were plenty of empty seats, not sure how the crowd will be this year.

You can take train from Interlaken Ost to Lucerne. Or you can take a longer route via Bern.

Hello, We visited in end of July 2022. I think June till mid August is the best time to enjoy scenery and various landscape.. That's the time weather is clear and days are longer ..Last year in July it was too hot..so carry a good sunscreen if you are visiting in summers.

I guess that was a Panoramic train ( Interlaken - luzern ) ...So, did you not pay for the seat reservation ?
Seat reservation is not mandatory in this train.. And train runs every hour.. So easy to get seats and no reservation required 🙂

If you have first class swiss travel pass then you can ride in first class of trains and boats

Good day, I have a travel pass question. You bought the tickets, doesn't the travel pass cover these costs? Or travel pass gives a 50% discount on transportation between cities?
Hello, We have not purchased any ticket on this route, as we had the STP - in fact in the video at 2:10 we have clearly mentioned this train journey is fully covered with Swiss travel pass/BO pass etc.. Also at 4:40 we have mentioned regarding boat tour that we have STP so we will go straight to the entrance (not going to the ticket office) ..
