I've seen crap like that, what is wrong with people. My assumption is that they are collaborations of people with anorexia, considering they think what they are doing is an effective way to lose weight and they'll be fine so long as they know what they're doing (which they won't but I'm sure you can imagine the mindset). If they're run by people without the illness as a way of encouraging it, then those people need just as much psychological help as the people they're torturing, if not more.

#11 really resonates with me, since my half-brother died of a heroin overdose. He had been clean for several years and had lost his tolerance, so when he suffered a relapse, his usual amount was too much. The no escape thing is not an exaggeration at all.

And surely it's not rocket science to design a metal strip that won't snag on something as large as a button. Though aside from that, there should always be people in earshot, and he should have been trained not to wear those kinds of sleeves.
As someone who’s suffered from anorexia and bullima who went from under 90 pounds in treatment to 140 5 years later its still difficult to look in mirrors like that. The struggle is never ending.
It would be better if he had a small pocket knife or a box cutter. Then he could just cut away the trapped cloth. They used to do that in mills back when they had to grind the grains by manually pushing the giant stone wheel

I consider myself to have a strong stomach, and when the guy got his arm stuck in the conveyor belt even I had to stop watching for several minutes. It's an effective PSA, if you ask me.
My country banned domestic fireworks in 2000 because of the dangers instead of making PSAs about securing the bottle or not wearing polyester hoodies. At first everyone complained, but after a couple years it was clear that the damage they can do is greater than the fun: the number of burned people, especially children, dropped dramatically.

My father works in a factory. Has for over 30 years. Shortly after he and Mom got married (1986), he forgot to take his ring off before work and got his hand caught and crushed in a machine. His hand fully healed, but he never wore his band again. It was pretty horrifying for him and my mom.
