Have you noticed the recent quality issues with some of our favorite designer houses. Although the prices are increasing, the quality has not been getting better. Here I want to chat about vintage bags! Bags that have been around for 20 + years that still hold up in perfect condition.

Fendi’s bigger monogram print is called Zucca, the smaller print is called zucchino. I agree, nothing beats vintage bags!

I've only ever had 1 vintage bag and it was an LV Saint Cloud MM from 1995. Beautiful bag! The canvas is definitely a lot different from what we're being served now. Had to let it go though because it was just too small for me. My sister has a great collection of vintage LVs and Guccis. They are stunning for their age and the hardware is divine. I I would totally go vintage for a Chanel in the next coming years. I can't keep up with the price increases. It's getting harder and harder to justify. x

I was never big into handbags but after my aunt gave me a fendi bag as a recovery gift, I became fascinated by the fendi brand and started going on the hunt. I found and now own a 1960s Karl Lagerfeld fan shaped evening bag in brown and I'm in love with it. When I go out with it, no one knows that it's a fendi bag. 😂

I definitely like vintage bags, but I think that when I buy I am always a little bit astounded by how expensive they are on the pre-loved market. Especially if you buy from somewhere like Fashionphile!
Totally! How are some of the bags double the price than the original. It’s insane. Sometimes eBay is the best route to go if you can find a trusted verified seller. Sometimes I need the peace of mind so I’ll buy from Fashionphile knowing I can return it if needed.
I love vintage bags too! Vintage Coach leather is absolutely luxury level. I have several of their full leather vintage bags and OMG!!! Better than anything I’ve touched in stores today - including luxury. I’m on the lookout for the Fendi Mama Baguette. I thrifted an authentic Fendi Spy Bag from Goodwill bins for $4! I sold it on The Real Real because I didn’t like the style. It was white with red handles. Thanks for sharing!
Wow that’s amazing! Can’t believe you found a Fendi 🤩 You can sometimes find mama baguettes for a good deal on Poshmark. Coach bags are amazing. The leather is the best.
I have begun purchasing vintage Coach handbags over the past year . The deals are getting harder as more people scoop them up. Nevertheless, I have been happy with every rescued bag. Most Coach bags depending on the color and condition(black and dark brown) are most forgiving and easily rehabilitated to look like new.
I have started buying vintage due to not being happy with new purse purchases over the past ten years. Even the formerly bullet proof Coach leather is no longer the same as it once was. The last two / three hand bags from Coach over the past 10 years had cracking on the shoulder straps. The leather on the body was also easily scratched and ruined. The vintage bags never had that issue.
It also feels good to give the vintage purses another life, they deserve it. And the vintage age bags with care, will probably even outlive me, lol.
It’s amazing how bags over 20 years still hold up so well and look beautiful. While new bags currently get wear after a few months. I found a new love for vintage bags recently. Thanks so much for watching 💕

Is there a designer brand that’s maintained their quality in your opinion? Just curious? When I read about the short term wear and tear it makes me wonder why even spend designer when I can get that same quality with contemporary designers for a fraction of the price...
I personally think Prada, YSL have all kept up with their quality. I’ve purchased items from them recently and was impressed with the quality. What are your thoughts around Louis vuitton quality lately?
@@SomethingLatte I only have a wallet from Louis Vuitton so far, just purchased...I’m new to the luxury world so I’m asking the more experienced buyers the questions, doing my research ;)...I’ve bought lots of contemporary designers like coach, MK, Rebecca Minkoff...was looking at YSL and LV as my first handbag but starting with the SLGs first to dip my toes in :)
Ana contemporary brands are always great quality as well. Louis Vuitton and YSL are definitely great brands. I love both their SLGs. I just bought a pink wallet from Louis Vuitton. Which one did you get?
