As a 59-year-old who ditched high-calorie, high-carb beers for health reasons about six months ago, I must say that I am currently enjoying Natty Light as my new daily drinker! Love your videos, Uncle Bub!
After drinking Miller light for years I switched to natural light about 2 years ago because it was cheaper but now I drink it because It became my go to I still drink Miller light here and there but now I think Miller light taste sweeter then natural love both of them either way
I searched for Miller lite vs natural light because they are both nearly identical in alcohol %, calories, and carbs and your video came up. I recently greatly reduced my beer consumption overall and when I do drink a couple beers, its gotta be light now because of health reasons and diet. There's 4 mass produced beers that i'm aware of that fit the criteria I like for of less than 100 calories, right around 3g of carbs or less, and still higher than 4% alcohol. Those beers are natural light, miller lite, busch light, and michelob ultra. So I switch it up with those 4 even though they all taste almost the same. I do think miller lite has slightly more beer flavor and tastes slightly less watery than natural light, but I can't stress slightly enough. They are pretty darn close. Natural light gets a bad rap though because it used to be the go to college age kids party beer. So it has that stigma of being a bum/party beer. But it tastes just as good and smooth as any other light beer out there. I'll agree with anyone that says that there isn't a lot of flavor and it basically tastes close to water, that is true, but theres certainly nothing gross or offensive about it.
Thanks for watching and your comment. I have never been big on light beer, but recently tried Busch Light and found that I really like it. It has become my "go to". Your comment gave me the idea to try a Miller Lite vs Busch Light taste challenge. Cheers!
Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it! I made this review about a year ago. I review at least 4 beers a week. If yon't to, check out some of my other reviews. Cheers!
It is a tie. I prefer Natural Light over Miller Lite, mainly because of the price difference. Miller Lite is good on draft, Natural Light is good out of an icy cooler in the can. I will say this though, once the Natural Light starts to get a little warm thats when the cheap flavor comes through. Overall they are both crushable in the end. Cheers!
I agree! I love beers like this as cold as I can get 'em. Especially on a hot day. I occasionally get the Miller Lite 9 pack of 16oz aluminum bottles, but the only way I can find the Natural Light is in the big 25oz can. Thanks for watching and the comment, Cheers, my friend!
Thanks for this great question! The term "smooth", to me personally has to do with mouthfeel, chugability (not a word but I'm going to use it anyway), and the transition from sip to swallow. Mouthfeel in a "smooth" brew would consist of the balance of carbonation and consistency of the liquid. Is the carbonation slight, medium or heavy and does the consistency (thin, watery, juicy, syrupy, thick, heavy) complement the carbonation. Chugability in a "smooth" brew would be basically, "Can I throw this beer back and kill it without coming up for air?" The transition from sip to swallow relates to the carbonation, but also the amount of bitterness in the brew. A beer with high carbonation and a high IBU (International Bitterness Units) score would not be considered "smooth" by me. Not that I would dislike a brew of this sort, I happen to love bitterness and carbonation of all strengths. Other beer lovers may have a different take than me and if so, I would love for them to chime in and share their thoughts! Cheers, and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comparison! I don't drink beer much, as I use it mainly for a chaser to my margaritas. But since the taste is so close, the Natural Lite wins, IMO, because I know I can get them for a cheaper price than Miller Lite.
I'm back! Gotta catch up on your videos. I like Lite in light beers but Natural Light isn't bad. I love the old school cans with both Miller Lite and Natural Light. Natural needs to keep the throwback can. Cheers my friend 🍻
That's a great Idea! I have a hard prejudice against bud light. I think it's highly over-rated and it gives me a headache. But I have been considering doing taste challenges with the Bud family. I have videos queued up through August so it might be a while before it gets published but stay tuned I'll "git 'er done"! Cheers!
Finally! I let my oldest granddaughter cut my hair she's graduates in May from Beauty school. I rather pay her than anybody else, but it's hard for her to find time to cut Poppa's hair.
I am a hard pour guy, but when doing a blind taste challenge, the head is not important. I have started pouring beer slowly when doing my challenges. Cheers, and thanks for watching.
As a habit I always try to pour a nice head on a beer, it's my personal preference. I know it's not everybody's thing, but there is so much more to enjoying a beer than swallowing it. There's the visual, aromatic, head flavor, body flavor, mouthfeel, chugability, etc., which can't be fully appreciated when pouring a "headless" beer. Now when doing taste challenges, I try to pour minimal head to expedite the video,(this video being an exception). Cheers!
@@fridaysr4u306 I appreciate the response, I didn't know all of that. I kinda just drink and swallow it lol I do enjoy your reviews so thank you for responding. I look forward to more content. Cheers mate

Natural light gets a bad wrap from teenagers. When It came out the company was very proud of it
Between these two I would pick Miller over natural light
These are the two greatest light beers in my opinion
To me, it's a tie, but Natural Light wins by default, due to price considerations.
That's a fact.
Natural light is my everyday banger and Miller lite out to eat or when it's on sell. Both my kind of beer

I really like the Lite in the 16oz aluminum bottles! Cheers!
@fridaysr4u306 oh hell yeah they have a different taste I think it taste better in the aluminum bottle

You could try Milwaukees Best Light also. Same nutritional value as the others, and pretty cheap price. Cheers 🍻
I can’t tell the difference between natural light and Busch light either…so I drink natty light as it is cheaper
"the beer with a taste for food" Natural Light
Like your review 😊

I can tell the difference.
I'm not a big drinker of any kind. But what does it mean when you say it is smooth?
Thanks for this great question! The term "smooth", to me personally has to do with mouthfeel, chugability (not a word but I'm going to use it anyway), and the transition from sip to swallow.

I'd go Natural Light cause of price. 🍻
That is a tough one. When I tried them separately, I liked the Natural Light more, but I never did the blind taste test. 🍺
I love these blind challenges, I'm posting your Jenny Spring Bock tomorrow. Cheers!

I prefer the throwback can as well. I really enjoy doing these blind challenges, the results continue to surprise me. Cheers!
You said it right ty for review
Uncle Bubs , would be interested in seeing you put Natural Light up against Bud Light. Keep doing the Lord’s work 24 ounces at a time.

got that ol hair cut

Pour the beer all fucked up hahah

I like the review, but learn how to pour a beer sir.
